it's been awhile since you had that phone call with jjs dad you didn't like his dad for how he treated his son but he wants to be parts of selena's life you just didn't wanna jj to do something he felt like he had to like introduce selena to her messed up grandfather
"hey baby" you kiss jj on cheek and sit next to him while selena is sleeping on him while she lays her head on his shoulder
"hi queen so i think we have to go to the grocery store today we're running out of stuff" he strokes selena's hair
"yeah i know you should wake the princess" you chuckle
"hey mama you wanna go shopping with me and mommy" selena rubs her eyes and stretches "yes daddy" she smiles excited
you guys were shopping selena was in jjs arm with her dolly in the hand while you were pushing the cart jj then notices someone trying to get his daughters attention and you notice that's it's his dad
"selena princess don't look at that man okay" he tells his daughter
"daddy who that" she questions
"she sure is pretty girl got it from you right y/n" luke chuckes "ain't seen y'all in a while"
"what's your name pretty girl" he smiles at selena
but before selena answered jj handed me selena
"don't talk to my daughter get the fuck away" his voice gets higher
"alright alright i'm out of the way shouldn't all kids get have their grandparents but whatever see y'all" he walks away laughing
you grab jjs hand so he can relax home selena as soon as you got home jj decided it would be best to explain to who that was
"princess can daddy talk to you"
"yes daddy" she giggles and climbs on top of jj
"mama that person who tried to talk to you at the store is not a good person he's your grandpa but he's not a loving grandpa"
"why daddy" she has a confused look on her face
"he was a bad man to me growing up he would hit me everyday do drugs and drink he wasn't a good daddy to me" he strokes her hair and look at her
"mean man daddy you no hit me right"
jj widens his eyes and scoots selena more close "no mama never i would never lay my hands on you or your mommy" he kisses her cheek
"okay daddy i love you" she gives her dad a kiss
"i love you more baby" he hugs selena tight
