Sinful Temptation

Prologue

Alive city lights in New York and skyscrapers has been part of my life ever since. My hearts beating at its normal rate while staring at the buildings in front of my small apartment. Wearing black dress that perfectly hugged my body and a pair of nude stilettos, I looked at my self in the mirror.

I turned my gaze on the door when I heard three knocks. It must be Edward. I twist the door knob and welcomed Edward as I gave him a kiss on his cheeks. Wearing a black tux he is standing in front of me like a real model. Oh well he's exactly a model and a ceo. I wonder how did he managed his time from being a busy ceo to in demand model of luxurious brands.

"Shall we?" He put his arms on my waist as he lead the way.

Tonight we're gonna meet my parents. My dad is really fond of him. I was a black sheep in the family, but thanks to him my parents learn to love me as their daughter.

"What's your plan after graduation?" Dad asked after slicing his steak. I guess I was so flattered that I thought they are going to ask me first about me like how I'm feeling or am I just fine.

"She's gonna join my company Mr. Swift" he looked at me and gave me an assuring smile. What? He already have plans for me? How about me? Can't I decide for my self?

"That's good" father's smile widened.

"When will you get marry?" Mom interrupted.

I looked at Edward and gave him an apologetic eyes. We haven't talked about marriage and I'm not yet ready to get marry.  I took a deep sigh and look at my steak without even touching it. It seems like my family only wants me because they want Edward's company.

"I'll marry her in a month" my jaw dropped when Edward spoke those words. I was left stunned unable to move. We're not even girlfriends boyfriends, we're just friends. How can he do this to me? I looked at him with disappointing face.

"Will you marry me?" He looked at me with ring on his hand. I looked at my mom who's eyes are teary and dad whose smile reached his ears.

During the whole dinner I became as quite as the air. After I accepted his ring I excused myself and went straight to the comfort room. Staring at my reflection asking who am I. I was not the same girl years ago. I became a whole new version of someone I do not know and it's because of Edward. Being with him is suffocating. I can't decide on my own. He decides for me. And now we're gonna be a married couple. I'm really losing myself while I'm with him. I want to leave him but it means destroying the man I love.

"Are you okay?" He whispered.

"Yeah I just need sleep" I opened my apartment and went inside. He also followed me without even getting his hands off me.

"You may go now" I said in a low voice almost a whisper.

"What?" He chuckled.

"We're gonna marry month after your graduation. Can't I sleep here" he demanded. I have to say no. I can't just say yes all the time.

"Edward" I stuttered.

"I'm sorry I'm just kidding. Get yourself a sleep. I'll go now" he smiled weakly and gave me a kiss on the the side of my lips.

After locking the door I headed to my bed. My life has been a prison. Barely living just surviving day by day.

The sun's rays touched my skin. I opened my eyes welcoming a new day. A new day that's already been set and decided by Edward. I'm not  a typical college girl.

Wearing jeans and a turtle neck tops I put on some light make up. School is just a walking distance so I walked my self there. A familiar SUV is on the other side of the road.

It's mr. Lucas with ms. Sara, my professors in middle school. They look good together. A business minded man and a mature woman. Jealousy crept my heart while looking at them. I hugged my books and turn my eyes down avoiding them.

"Jazzel" Sara called. I looked at her who's beside Mr. Lucas. I didn't know they are already in front of me.

"Good morning miss, s..sir" I stuttr greeting them without looking straight into his eyes.

"I heard you're getting married" she giggles after mocking me. My eyes went straight to Lucas looking at his reaction. His dark hooded eyes looked at me intensely. 'I'm sorry' I bit my lips and put eyes on the floor.

"Excuse me" I excused myself avoiding them.

Pain. All I know is pain. I don't want Edward but it's the only thing I can do marry him for Lucas' success.
