Chapter twenty-three: The Roar Returns

"Way ahead of you." Ono flies off

"Fuli starts running but notices Rani hasn't moved a bit, Fuli turns around, "Rani, you're coming?" she asked

Rani just sits and stares at the sky.

"Rani." Fuli yelled

"Uh yeah, I'm coming." Rani gets up and walks with Fuli to the mountain pass, they nearly run into Vitani before stopping.

"Hey, the Pridelands has been taken over, we need your help." Vitani said

"Kion has been taken by Scar, he under his control now." Rani said

"Uh, that explains the no appearance of Kion." Rafiki said.

"Any way we can get him back?" Vitani asked

"Still discussing, was Kion part of the raid?" Rani asked

"None of us seen him in the Pridelands." Vitani said

"Than Scar has a different plan with him, just what." Rani said

"Don't know, but we need him back." Vitani said

"Come, you all look tired, you can rest here tonight." Rani said

Everyone starts walking to the tree to rest.

To the Pridelands

A group of animals run away with a bunch of hyenas chasing them, Sharptooth leads the charge and tries to get at least one animal, suddenly a rush of water flows over most of the hyenas driving them away, Sharptooth stops to look around to see what's going on, Makuu charges at Sharptooth penning her down.

The animals continue running away, they stop in front of Jabari, she looks behind the animals to see more hyenas running up, "Everyone get of the way." Jabari ordered

The animals gets out of the way, Jabari uses the heart of the sea to creates a wave over the hyenas driving the rest away.

"Wow." one of the animals said

Makuu walks by the animals, "Oh it feels good to do that again." Makuu said.

Jabari smiles, "Come you all, I have a safe sanctuary for all the animals." she said as she turns around.

The animals follow Jabari to the river, Sharptooth stands up to see the animals walking away with Makuu and Jabari, she snared her teeth than turns around and starts heading to pride rock.

To Pride Rock

Scar sits at the edge of Pride rock just looking over the land, Nemesis walks behind Scar, "Like the view don't you?" he asked

"Yes I do, the Pridelands under my control once again." Scar said

"Well it's been a couple of days, and you've done a lot of work here, I've helped you what you wanted all this time, so now you should help me with my plans." Nemesis said

"Your plans?, who do you think is the leader, you obviously have no experience on leading, so we're staying here, ruling the Pride lands." Scar said

Nemesis snares his teeth and his head shakes, "I did not resurrect your FACE just so you can rule the Pridelands." he yelled.

Scar turns around, "And your plan to rule the world, you know how hard that's going to be." he argued.

"You're just being lazy." Nemesis said

"No, I'm just taking the easy route." Scar said

"Don't make me send you back where you came from." Nemesis said
