'Do well on your exams!'
The writing was meant to somehow neutralize the heart that was previously drawn. Mina hoped her Chaeyoung won't be weirded out or mind about the heart, but is focused on her Mina's wishful thinking instead.
Now, Mina was no longer present in the nostalgic classroom. She is currently in the school's library, inspecting the books that the library stored. Mina was a bookworm back in the days, she basically read through almost all of the books that the school had. As she was re-exploring the library, a book caught her eyes. It was the book that she never got around to finish. Mina picked it up and examine it carefully. The title of the book was "The Solitude of Prime Numbers" by Paolo Giornado. She smiled knowing it was still here. Albeit, dust filled the cover of the book, and the pages were all yellow due to time passing by.
The last day of her high school life finally came. Mina was reading the same book "The Solitude of Prime Numbers". Mina was asked by her classmates to help them with decorating the classroom for a last-day-of-school party. Of course, Mina decided to help them. The girl placed the book in the drawer of her desk, and proceeded to provide help. She didn't foresee that she would forget about the book for the next 10 years.
Flipping through the book thrillingly, she was excited as if she met someone she hasn't seen in forever. Suddenly, a folded note fell out of the book and landed on the ground. Interested, Mina stooped down to collect the note. Once it was in the possession of her hand again, she opened the paper. It reads:
"Minari, meet me at the back entrance of the school <3? - Chaeyoung"
Mina's heart dropped. Her breathing became irregular. It was incredulous, she couldn't believe it.
... Son Chaeyoung felt the same way towards her? Her love for Chaeyoung was not one-sided?
Yes, Son Chaeyoung felt the same towards Mina. Mina's love towards Chaeyoung was never ever one-sided. Indeed, Chaeyoung was deeply infatuated with Mina.
Chaeyoung, who deliberately asked Mina to arm wrestle that day so that she could touch Mina's hand.
Chaeyoung, who intentionally hurt her right hand while playing ping-pong so that Mina could take care of her. She couldn't help but also panicked when Mina was patching up her hand. The distance between them were so close that Chaeyoung felt her heart would explode in a matter of seconds.
Chaeyoung, who was fully aware of Mina's jealousy on that Valentine's day, so she gave Mina the heart-shaped chocolate box to compensate for it. Once she got home that day, the so called strong, cool and collected Chaeyoung was crying out of happiness because Mina was jealous, and because Chaeyoung knew damn well that Mina's chocolate packaging was meant for her.
Chaeyoung, who faked asleep that day so that she could have Mina to look at her. And then once she noticed Mina fell asleep on her desk, Chaeyoung opened her eyes to look at Mina lovingly. Her heart flutters just by seeing how pretty Mina was.
Chaeyoung, who actually witnessed Mina's terrible attempt to erase the heart off of Chaeyoung's dress shirt (She was making sure that Mina didn't notice her presence). In the moment, Chaeyoung felt sad that Mina was trying so hard to remove the drawing of the heart. The shorter girl even thought that Mina didn't feel the same due to how much effort was put in for the deletion of the heart. Nonetheless, she didn't wash that dress shirt for the next few weeks because she was petrified it would wash Mina's writings away.
Chaeyoung, who was also afraid to confess her love to Mina. She was afraid that her love was unrequited. That it's never going to be reciprocated no matter what. Chaeyoung felt uneasy about what people might think if they dated. After all, they were both girls. Society would not accept them. Mina might not accept her.
