How to be an 'idol'

Chapter 1: lesson learnt

"A Principal, Teacher, the person, who accepts us as flower and nurtures us to grow fully bloomed, and spread our fragrances through our knowledge. ............ You are the sweetest soul who helps to build our personality, teaches us to make friends, and spent a lot of time making sure we get a proper education. You always see the light in us and taught us to never give up .........."

(10 minutes later)

The principal was so happy speechless. It was the first time he had ever heard his students say this to him.

Principal Baker: (in tears) " I-... I really don't know what to say...... thank you so much and I am sorry. ,"

"I know what I said .... is too short for a farewell but the words I have said are important please remember them... you might think they are just words but you don't know the power it holds."

The students talked amongst each other right after the principal got off the stage.

Students: "why do you think the words I'm sorry and thank you are so important?""I mean they are just words! Why would they hold such importance compared to the others?"

Meanwhile, Mae was just cramming up for her biology test.

Liya: "did u hear what the principal said?"

Mae: (in a monotone voice) "Yeah he said thank you and sorry are important,"

Before Liya could say anything-

Mae: (screaming)" FINALLY!!!! I thought it would take forever to learn it. what were u about to say Liya?"

Liya:" Don't worry it is nothing important... What were u studying anyway? U know that our exams are in like a month right?"

Mae: "umm Liya did you forget that there is a test on Biology?"

Liya:(shocked) "MAE! Why didn't u tell me! I am gonna fail aahhhh-"

Mae: (patting Liya's back)"it is ok Liya u can copy from me but this is the last time ok? You seriously have to keep track of your tests. ,"

Liya: (while hugging Mae)" Thank you, Minnie, ~"

Mae just smiled at her and they both were on their way to their class.

while Mae was walking, she couldn't help but think about what her retired principal had told her

Mae: (mumbling under her breath)"Is this some kind of warning...? I have heard that our new principal will be strict... may god save us innocent human beings from being killed on our first day of meeting him... what is the actual meaning behind thankyou an-"

Liya:" Mae what are you mumbling..? People think that you are crazy"

Mae: "Nothing actually... just trying to recall my notes for the test haha"

Liya: "oh ok, I hope we do well today"

Mae: (smiling at Liya)"Me too"
