Chapter 4

~ The Coded Search ~

WIFI?

Luke turned his chair back to the screens and scanned the web.

Processing... Complete.

102 results for WIFI.

Luke made the latest articles appear on the screens around him, for the rest to see. Alex quickly went out to call in the other two so they could see too.

WIFI, also known as Westward Intellectual Fidelity Incorporation, is a wide-ranged company that focuses on using technology to the fullest. They provide blueprints, gadgets, cameras, computers, and many more. Their clients are said to go to them for the wildest ideas. WIFI is welcome to all and will do their absolute best of fulfilling their customers' requests. If interested call 078-987-78. (Random number, do not attempt to call)

"They provide gadgets, computers, and whatnot. They are just like any other technology company. What's so different?" Xavier asked the question everyone's been wondering.

"Does it matter?" Symphony asked, sitting on the floating desk, twisting the gadget in her hands in hopes of something happening. "What are these for—hey—these are also from WIFI."

"What is?"

She hops off the table and walks over to them, with a few strides due to her long legs, to where they were huddled around Luke and the computers. In her hands were two of the many gadgets placed neatly on the desk. She laid it down on Luke's computer table near the map for all to see, making sure the same blue tint WIFI logo is visible.

"Do you think they're all somehow connected?" Alex asked, getting another gadget, placing it next to the one Symphony brought. He picked them both up and tried to connect them as if they were pieces of a puzzle.

Puzzle? Map? Pieces of gadgets?

What do they all have in common? They all need a...

Plan.

"That's it! They said they make blueprints, right?" Alex exclaimed at the realization. "Luke, can you find any of the blueprints for these contraptions?"

"Blueprints? Won't they be secured by the company?" Symphony brought up.

"Not secured enough for Luke." Xavier boasted.

"So, what your saying is that if we find the blueprints of these thingamajigs, we could put them together and then finally eat, right?" Jazlyn asked to clarify.

"I was starting to think you weren't as much of a dimwit as I thought, but now I think you might be worse," Xavier commented at her ending mark, mocking her. Evelyn failed to hide a chuckled and hugged her in comfort when Jazlyn pouted at him.

"Leave her alone."

While they were squabbling about to one another, Luke and Alex were busy searching for any blueprints that could be of any use. Normally, companies wouldn't openly let the public see such confidential material, but then again, their situation isn't quite what you would call normal. Luke had his doubts on whether he would be able to find them or not.

So he was, to say, surprised to find the firewall blocking him from the blueprints to be one of the weakest securities he has ever hacked into. All he needed was a set of simple codes, ones that even beginners should be able to cipher, to unlock the blueprints from their locked file.

"He did it. Luke found them!" Alex exclaimed, telling the rest who stopped talking and huddled behind Luke to see it for themselves.

"We knew you could do it!" Xavier gave him a hard pat on the back.
