15 - REMEMBER

Mr. Kim hesitated. He doesn't know if Jungkook will remember them.

Right then, Taehyung's phone rang.

Mr. Kim sighed in relief quietly. He didn't want to make a fake promise.

Taehyung looked at the caller ID and picked up the call.

"Hello? Tae?"

"Yeah?", Taehyung almost whispered.

"Are you okay? You don't sound well."

"Hyung...", Taehyung said in a cracked voice before tears started sliding down his cheeks.

"Tae, what's wrong? Do you want me to come to you?"

"Please..."

"Okay. I'll be there. You're at home, right?"

"Hospital."

"Hospital?! What're you doing there? Are you okay? Did you get hurt? What hospital?"

"Near my house."

"I'll be there in two minutes, okay? You can stay on call with me if you want."

Taehyung didn't end the call. He just listened to the sounds coming from the other side.

He heard the sound of keys, the car door opening and closing, a car starting, the phone being put down, the seatbelt click, and the car race.

Soon, he heard someone call his name from not so far away.

"Taehyung!"

The mentioned boy looked to his side and saw his best friend.

Taehyung was now being hugged by his friend.

"What's wrong?", his friend asked. "Why are you in a hospital?"

"Jungkook..."

The other male knew Jungkook. Of course, he would when he has to listen to his best friend rant on about him.

"What happened to Jungkook?"

"He might...lose his memory.", Taehyung said as he cried. "He'll forget me."

"What? Of course, not! He loves you, he won't ever forget you!"

"Hyung, what if-"

"No what if's. Tae, stop overthinking. He'll be fine."

"...hug?"

The older male smiled softly and hugged Taehyung.

"Thank you, Yoongi Hyung."

Yoongi looked down at Taehyung who had slept during the few minutes into the hug.

He looked at Mr. Kim who also looked really tired.

"You can go home, Mr. Kim. I will take care of Taehyung and Jungkook."

Mr. Kim looked towards his shoulder and shook his head.

Yoongi hummed in understanding.

He looked down at Taehyung who had a loose grip around his waist.

Taehyung may not have felt it but Yoongi could tell that he'd feel pain when he wakes up because of the position he's sitting in.

Yoongi carefully moved Taehyung's head down on his lap so the younger won't feel uncomfortable while sleeping.

Soon, a nurse came to them.

"Are you Jungkook's relatives?", she asked.

Mr. Kim immediately stood up, nodding.

"He has gained consciousness. If you want to, you can meet him.", the nurse said before leaving.

"Should I wake Tae up?", Yoongi asked.

"No, let him sleep. He cried too much. You stay here with him - I'll be back."

Yoongi nodded at Mr. Kim before the businessman left.

Jungkook was laying down on his bed, feeling too much pain.

Mr. Kim entered the room.

"How are you feeling, Jungkook?"

Jungkook looked at him.

"Do you remember...Taehyung?", Mr. Kim asked hesitantly.

Jungkook looked at him confusedly. "Wh-who?", he almost whispered.

"Taehyung."

Jungkook slowly shook his head confusedly.

Mr. Kim inhaled a shaky breath.

He nodded before leaving.

"Does he remember anything?", Yoongi asked immediately when Mr. Kim came out of the room.

Mr. Kim shook his head, sitting down on the chair.

Yoongi bit his bottom lip as he looked at the sleeping Taehyung.

"He won't believe it. He'll go insane.", Yoongi said.

"I know."

Just then, Taehyung moved around in sleep.

Yoongi's body tensed.

Taehyung slowly opened his puffy eyes and sat up.

He looked at Yoongi.

"Did Jungkook wake up, yet?"

Yoongi shook his head aggressively as he panicked because of the question.

Taehyung glared at him.

"That means he is.", Taehyung said as he stood up.

"Wait-"

Taehyung ignored Yoongi and went into the room.
