TW: mentions of ab*se
They say cut him out
Report him for his abuse
But I'm so afraid
Won't see him again
It'll leave a hole in his heart
And one in mine too
Make him cut it out
Child Protective Services
Steering him away
I'm watching him walk
Away from his home, our home
I am letting go
His hand reaches out
To grab me, hold onto his
Child who made the call
My heart is shattered
I broke us holding that phone
Tsunami of tears
Both my legs give out
Irreversible damage
And I'm who caused it
One last glance at me
The thought brings tears to my eyes
Miss him already
He fades away
To never hear my small name
Leave his lips again.
