I Can't Anymore (Part 2)

Start from the beginning

'Ready to finally get back out there,' she smirked.

'Yes,' I laughed. 'It's been three years. And to be honest I'm kinda horny,' I shrugged, B/F/N turning to look at me with a shocked face. 'Just being honest,' I laughed.

We walked into the club and I was instantly hit with the smell of alcohol and sweat. The music thudding in my ears. We walked to the bar to order drinks.

'I'll have a beer please,' I yelled over the loud music to the bar tender.

'So see anyone you like.'

'I haven't even looked yet give me a chance,' I chuckled.

I scanned the room looking at everyone round me. No one catching my eye. That was until I looked into the corner of room.

'Fuck,' I muttered turning back around to the bar.

'Shots,' I yelled. 'Someone give me a shot.'

'Are you ok Y/N? Why you wanting to do shoots so badly.' B/F/N laughed.

I took two shots in a row. My friends looking at me with disbelief as after I finished the shots and I took a swig of my beer. I shook my head at them and they went back to their conversation. B/F/N was still looking at me.

'Back corner,' I muttered.

She scanned the room and her eyes widened when she saw it.

'Fuck. How long's it been?'

'Three years,' I muttered.

'Are you going to be ok?'

'Look lets just get drunk and dance. I don't need to be sad tonight,' I smiled.

B/F/N nodded and went to order a drink. I turned back around staring back into the corner. After all it had been three years since I saw Tom in person. He was looking better than ever. Even from the other side of the room I could tell. He had let his curls grow out as I always begged him to. His smile was electric. It lit up the room. Seeing him happy after all this time still made me happy.

He turned his head and that's when our eyes locked. He looked shocked for a while. Like he couldn't believe it was me. We just stared at each other from opposite ends of the room. A few moments went by and B/F/N grabbed my hand pulling me onto the dance floor.

We spent the next couple of hours drinking and dancing. However one thought was still in my mind. Tom. I had drunk so much at this point I was wasted. B/F/N had gone with some guy she had found and I was now on the dance floor alone jumping up and down to the music. I was about to take a swig of beer when I realised it was empty and I went back to the bar to order another one. I was waiting for a drink when I heard a voice besides me.

'What's it been? 3 years now?'

I turned to look besides me and Tom was stood next to me. Filling my stomach with butterflies. Just like he always did.

'Tommmyyyyy,' I smiled. 'I've misssed you,' I slurred.

He laughed and hung his head.

'Darling how much have you had to drink.'

'I'm not sure,' I paused. 'Maybe just... a lot.'

'You never drink this much. Are you ok?'

I looked over to him and could see the genuine concern in his eyes. After all this time he still cared about me. However I was too drunk to think let alone form a sentence.

'Better now I'm seeing you,' I smiled.

'Ok your wasted,' he chuckled. 'Where's B/F/N.'

'With a random guy. I'm off to dance.' I picked up my drink and headed back to the dance floor.
