Keiko lay under the bright light of her lamp as she sat on the grass, tiredly trying to skim through the paperwork she had received from the hokage's office.
"What's a kid doing out here at this time?"
"Must you interrupt me, Nara?" The mans eyes widen before going back to normal as he walks up to the girl
"You should be asleep."
"As should you." Nara Shikaku was one of the only men she truly respected as he was a friend of her fathers.
"I'm an adult, I don't need as much rest as you."
"Leave me alone, I must finish my clan duties." He sighs, taking a seat slightly behind the girl.
"Who did you fight?"
"Hn." Shikaku deadpans knowing she wouldn't say anything.
"What a drag..." Silence filled the area except for the wild animals and night creatures sounds.
Sighing, she pinched the bridge of her nose and spoke.
"I cannot work with you behind me. Leave." He grunted, moving to sit beside her instead and successfully irking her.
