also, make note this book is a slow burn and a coming-of-age story. i've had to come back and remind readers of this because they are startled at the time line and age with which the book begins and then they are sheepish when they realise it is nothing to worry about.
i intended to have readers follow my characters and their stories, understand their emotions, thoughts, and feelings before they get where they are.
therefore, i recommend readers are not too hasty to judge the age-gap when they begin because the love blossoming in this novel doesn't ignite straight off the bat.
this is a book based on pure love and trust. it also has touches of realism and reality because even fiction has to tell some truths. misunderstand this and you may stop reading.
