...

𝓗eavy rain was falling down, dark clouds covering the blue sky. Lightening was flashing across the sky, being the only light source when they walked through the forest, trying to find what they were searching for. A loud thunder roared through the night, in the distance you could still hear the horror of war. Men and women screaming in pain, grief and agony.

It was a cold night, the freezing air and uncomfortable environment making the men shiver. Still, they didn't think about turning around. They had to find her. It was the only way to rescue their kingdom which was being attacked by enemies, the kingdom being too weak to defend itself against the Kinas and their wolf-like helpers straight from hell, lupus they called them, the huge animals with their glowing eyes and their forked and long tongue, which hunted humans down for the Kinas.

The men's robes were already soaked because of the heavy rain which was falling for hours now, but they still kept on walking. One of them slipped on the wet forest ground and fell down, hissing in pain when sticks and stones scratched his knees open, making them bleed, "I'm okay.", he breathed out when the others turned to him with a worried expression, "I'm fine.", he repeated while standing up, probably trying to convince himself more than he intended to convince his entourage. They knew that he was trying to convince himself. Since the war started, none of them had have a chance to rest in any sort. They were all drained, energy leaving their body and soon there would be nothing left. But still, they had to try. They had to carry out this last mission, this last favor for their kingdom. It was time to end the horrors the Kinas brought as soon as they started to settle down in their kingdom.

The man knocked off the dirt on his hands while following the others, cursing silently under his breath as the pain spread through his legs and through his drained limps.

They were near, they could feel it.

Another lightening illuminated the dark sky before a loud thunder broke through the silence which was only interrupted by the constant sound of the rain. "I think we found it!", the tallest of the three men exclaimed, pointing to a small house in the middle of the forest. The wooden house was overgrown with moss, a rich and deep green gracing the dark wood, making the small house nearly invisible in the green area. "It has to be it.", the other nodded, now standing next to the tall man. Green, emotionless and cunning eyes staring at their destination.

The third man finally arrived next to them, his leg still bleeding and him pulling a face with pain. He sighed relieved when he discovered the house and nodded. "Let's go.", he breathed out before stepping forward. His last bits of energy returned as he could feel their destination to be so near, their last hope being so near that they could grab it with their hands.

They started to walk faster into the direction, their eyes glimmering with tears of relief. They made it.

When they arrived at the door of the house, they looked at each other one more time, but before they could knock on the door, someone already opened it.

A petite woman with a young-looking face stood in front of them, the small wrinkles under her eyes being the only indication of her really age. She raised one perfectly shaped eyebrow when she saw them. Deep blue eyes, the color of the ocean, stared at them. "Why are you here?", she asked with a deep, cold voice, her irritation making her voice tremble slightly. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and waited for an answer.
