Rainy Days

You wake up to small rain drops pattering against you window. You tiredly open your eyes and reach over to open the curtain a tiny bit. And indeed, the sky was cloudy and rain was falling.

You groan lightly and decide to get out of the warmth of your bed. It was quite cold, making you put on a hoodie before you walked to the bathroom.

You brushed your hair and did your skincare before going to the kitchen. You were about to start making some toast and eggs when you heard your doorbell ring.

Huh? Today is my skip dayyy, let me beee..

You walked over to the door and opened it annoyed.

It was Suna. His dark circles were more visible that usually, but it could also just be that his eyeliner smudged from the rain.  His hair was damp, making it droop down over his face.

"Shit, is it already 10?" You ask with a yawn.

He ruffled your hair and invited himself into your apartment, "yeah sleepy head, it is"

"Damn...you want breakfast?"

"Sure" he accepted and took off his coat and shoes.
You walked back to the kitchen and finished off the breakfast, while Suna was leaned against the counter and just watching you.

His constant gaze did make you feel a bit uneasy, it almost felt like he was undressing you with his eyes. But then again, it's Suna, he wouldn't do that type of stuff, right?

You guys did some small talk, nothing too special,  before you put the scrambled eggs on two toasts and placed it on you plates, "here you go."
(Sorry if you're vegan lol)

"Thank you sleepy head, it looks great" Suna said and took a seat at the table. You sat down across from him and started enjoying your breakfast.

"Alright come on, get dressed I wanna go" Suna whined after you were done eating breakfast together.

You looked out of the window and still saw a dense wall of water droplets fall from the sky, "But it's still raining outside..."

Suna chuckled and ruffled your head, messing up your hair even more, "it'll be fun"

You groaned a bit, but got up and went to your room. You looked into your closet and took out a fit that was appropriate for the weather.

You looked at yourself in the mirror, fixing your hair that Suna messed up. Then, you quickly applied some eyeliner and light blush before you heard your bedroom door open and Suna's head pop in, "you done yet doll face?"

"Uh yeah give me a minute I gotta just moisten Tofu's tank" you told him and grabbed the small spray bottle of water that you had next to her tank.

"What?" Suna questioned and walked over to you. When he saw your gecko, his eyes started to sparkle and he instantly formed a small cup with his hands, "can I hold it?"

You looked up at him a bit surprised because normally people don't like Tofu, since she is a gecko, "uhh yeah sure wait, her name is Tofu by the way."

You let Tofu crawl onto your hand and then gently placed her into Suna's. Suna gently pat her head with the tip of his finger and sat down at the edge of your bed, just mesmerised by her.

You chuckled seeing him so intrigued and quickly sprayed some water into her tank, "Suna you can chill with her another time, she is probably sleepy at this time of the day"

Suna quickly looked up at you and walked back over to Tofu's tank, "sorry Tofu, I didn't mean to wake you up."

God he is too precious..

He quickly let her crawl back into a branch and closed the tank, "alright let's go"

You still had to giggle at the thought of Suna being so in love with Tofu, it was kind of cute...

Suna opened up his umbrella and you both started to walk under it together, "so where are we going?" You asked him with anticipation.

"Don't know, we'll just go wherever we want to" he said simply. The thought of not having a destination made you smile, it was less stressful and kind of calming.

The sound of rain drops hitting the umbrella above you and the ground under you made you relax. It was a sound you could easily fall asleep to. A small breeze of cold air hit you, making you shiver a bit.

Although the atmosphere with the rain was nice, the coldness wasn't. Your knuckles and fingers were turning cold.

Yesterday was such nice weather, how did it turn to this so quickly?

You huffed and looked down at you hands, which Suna noticed, "you good?" He asked, his words sounding concerned.
You looked up at him, "yeah, I am fine, just a bit cold."

Without a second thought he grabbed one of your hands and intertwined his fingers with yours. You could feel his cold metal ring press against your finger, but you didn't mind. He then puts them into the pockets of his sweater, "if it's too cold we can go back to my place."

"It's fine, really" you chuckled and put your free hand into your pocket, while the other was with Suna's.

"If you say so doll face" he cooed and kept walking with you.

After some time you saw a cat café down the street, "Suna Suna Suna Suna there there there now"

Suna gave in to your eagerness, "alright alright"

You both walked into the café and took off your coats and hung them up next to the door. The café was very aesthetically pleasing and there were cats and kittens strutting around.

The waiter brought you to a table and gave you the menus. After you ordered, there were some cats coming over to you. One of them sat into your lap and the other two went over to Suna. They seemed to like him a lot because they kept playing with the sleeves of his hoodie. Suna was very awkward, he didn't really know what to do, which you thought was hilarious.

You quickly snapped a picture of him before he looked back up at you, wanting to remember this moment.

Rain was falling and you were still with Suna. You decided to ditch the umbrella, making you both soaking wet, but in that moment you didn't mind one bit.

You were currently walking back home from your small adventure with him. After the café you guys went to the Skatepark. It was dead empty so the vibes were immaculate.

You just relaxed on a bench and talked about random thoughts and assignments that are still due.

There was no talking on the way back to your apartment, just the sound of the rain pattering against the ground. Your fingers were intertwined with Suna's, but he didn't seem to think of it as a big deal, he was just simply keeping you somehow warm. You thought it was a cute gesture, he was just trying to be a good friend which you appreciated.

"y/n..." a voice said next to you, pulling you out of your thoughts.

"Hm?"

"Can I take you out sometime, like more than just hanging out...?"
