As he stepped on the plane I fought every urge inside of me to walk on after him.  He looked back briefly and waved before disappearing down the tunnel.  Jaden was heading back to LA. Brynn had left on a red eye flight the night before.

It took everything I had inside of me not to break down in the middle of the airport departure lounge.  My mind snapped back to the night before. Making perfect love with him. When we woke this morning he pulled me close to him gently.
'Come with me' he demanded and softly grazed my neck with his lips.
'I can't' I whispered back, semi not even believing myself.

I knew he didn't mean it.  Not like I wanted him to.  He meant like  come to LA, back to his normal life where I could never be anything but a secret. I had definitely grown more feelings then I planned to over the last few weeks. And more so those feelings were directed to the wrong person.

After putting off the inevitable by hanging about in a bar uptown, and after way too much tequila, I made my way home in a town car. Neither of us had sent a single text since the fight at the hotel last night. It was nearly 24 hours later and I decided it was time to bite the bullet.

Lucia's black Mercedes convertible was parked at the front. I could also see Marcos Jeep in the garage. I felt a comfort in knowing there was someone else around. Even if it was his sister. I really had no idea what was about to go down, so another female in the house was greatly appreciated.

I punched in the security  code and walked through the foyer, at the end of the hall I could see Marcos office door shut. I tiptoed down the hall and noticed it wasn't shut all the way it was slightly ajar. I placed my ear against the rough wooden door in an attempt to hear the conversation. It was muffled but I could definitely make out Lucia and Marco. I leaned on the door harder and suddenly the door gave away and I tumbled into the room.

It was about this time I was recognising just how much I had drunk at the bar prior to going there.  I did however somehow managed to catch myself before completely nose diving into the carpet floor.
'Surprise!'  I shouted for some unknown godly reason.

Lucia  smiled at me warmly, Marcos expression I could not make out. It was a cross between, bewildered and disgusted I guessed  though.
'I'm going to go get us some water' Lucia calmly announced and hastily exited the office.

As confidently as I could I took a seat opposite Marco.
'I was going to ask if you wanted to do me on your desk but I thought I would say hi first'  I desperately tried to joke but it came out highly insensitive, inappropriate and just plain awkward thanks to the tequila.

'You've been hiding something haven't you?' Marco ignored my advances and finally spoke.  I somehow wisely decided to sit and silence and see where this was going.
'Stop living this lie Dylan' he continued
'Tell me the truth' .

'I f***** up alright, I'm sorry' my words sounded pathetic. Considering that I wasn't sorry at all.
'Your name was Dylan Sosa in LA?' Marco continued with his interrogation. It took a good while for me to realise what he had just said. Was he questioning me about my past? Is that the secret he thinks I have been keeping from him? He was right of course. But I thought he had been asking about Jaden.  Another sinking feeling hit me soon after. This secret was also about Jaden.

'Yes'  I answered him with my words before my brain could catch them.
He lowered his head in his hands, and my tequila just kept talking.
'Years ago when we first met. It's not like that now. Everyone has a past Marco. I swear it won't happen again'

To my surprise or maybe my imagination Marcus face softened and he smiled.
'Thank you. For being honest'
He opened the top drawer of his desk and pulled out some papers and a set of keys.
'Do you want me to leave?' I asked. Thinking he had drawn up divorce papers
'Dylan' he smiled.
'I love you. You're my wife and I made a promise' he pushed the keys over towards me.
'These are for you, I purchased a stunning unit right on the Santorini coastline with you in mind the whole time. I was thinking we could use it for weekends. But it is yours. Go and stay there and work out what you want to do. I will be here waiting for you. However long it takes'
My jaw dropped to the floor.
'No Marco' I stuttered
'Just because you are rich doesn't mean you can just buy me big presents like this'
He let out a chuckle
'This isn't a present, it's a house, for my wife'

I was dumbfounded to say the least. I sat in silence trying to make sense of the whole situation. Lucia entered the room with a jug of ice water and glasses for us. She noticed the keys in front of me and gave me a soft smile. Why was this family being so nice to me. I really did not deserve it. I opened my mouth trying to form some sort of argument. Marco cut me off.

'There are no ifs or buts. I am your husband, I am doing what is best for this relationship. I will take you there tomorrow. Now go rest'
