Chapter 12

((3 weeks later))

-- - Irethia's P.O.V -

Being Queen was great, but it was also very hard sometimes.

I'm not the type of person who wants to make all the decisions. I'd rather someone else make them. I wasn't the most graceful Queen either. Living with orcs 600 years has really changed me.

I woke up to the sound of birds chirping. I sat up and saw that the balcony doors had been open. Since he was King,  Thranduil was already up. I got up an got dressed then I made my way to the dining room to have breakfast.

I always did my best to eat as neatly as I could.. But it is taking me a while to be as neat as the other elves.

Thranduil picked up my fork and said

"umm Iree, why don't you try using a fork."

I took it from him and said, "sorry."

Thranduil and Sellion laughed.

"The orc ways have really rubbed off on you" said Sellion.

"you were even beginning to look like them" said Thranduil.

I stood up from my chair and smirked at him. Then I started to walk away, but before I got to the door I turned around and said,

"well.. Atleast I look my gender." "ouch" said Thranduil.

Then I walked out of the room smiling.

((2 years later))

-Irethia's P.O.V-

I have asked Thranduil how my father died many times, but he would always pretend to be busy.

I did not understand why he didn't want to tell me, but today he is going to. I need to know.

I walked into the throne room and stood in front of Thranduil, who was talking to Sellion.

"Thranduil" I said.

"yes" he said while turning around to look at me.

"p-please tell me how my father died" i said.

"sorry,  Iree. I-I'm busy right now" he said.

"Thranduil!  I need to know! Please,  just tell me!" I yelled.

Sellion looked at Thranduil then to me. Then he left the room.

Thranduil pulled me up to his throne.  He sat down and sat me in his lap. "Iree.. The truth will really hurt you" he said.

"I n-need to know" I said.

"very well" he sighed.
