Wolf Files - File 1 - The First Solo S Rank

A/n- I decided to add a picture of my kitten! Her name is Ophelia and I love her sooooooooooooooo much! Anyway, I wanted to have a short break from the story line, but still have some action. So, the result is the Wolf Files series. I don't know how many I will end up writing, but fear not! There will be more. The next chapter will be back to the storyline... 🙃.

Kuro's POV
(Set a couple weeks after joining Team Ro.)

I was in Gramps office sitting on his desk teaching him Morse code. After we finished the lesson, I started to get up to leave. "Kuro, how would you feel about going on a mission alone?" What kind of mission "an s rank assassination." Sure, why not? "Ok then, here's the scroll." I took the scroll and read through its contents. Seemed pretty basic. I was to go to the land of lightning and kill the leader of a gang that had taken over a town. Killing the gang members as well. It says it should take a week. I doubt that. Probably only will take a day or two. Ok gramps. "Report to the gate tomorrow at dawn and start the mission. I trust that you will let Kakashi know so that he can inform Team Ro." I nodded to him and then raised two fingers to my forehead and flicked them in a mock salute. I then jumped out of the window to the roof and jumped to the next roof going home.
I arrived home to kakashi making dinner. I hugged Kakashi from behind and he chuckled. "Hey Kuro." I peaked at what he was making. Looked like some kind of noodle soup. Hi, I got a mission from gramps. It's supposed to take a week to finish. He tensed when he heard that. "Oh? And who is going with you on the mission?"
It's solo
"what rank?"
S I heard him growl in anger and felt the vibration in his chest. "Kuro, that's a dangerous mission. I don't want you to go on a solo s rank."
I want to
"Kuro. Look. I get it that you are strong and that's true, but I don't think it's wise to let you go on a solo s rank mission. You could very easily get injured."
Same as the anbu missions.
"Yes but you are with a team then."
So still in danger of getting hurt. Plus you know I won't get hurt.
"Sure you haven't gotten hurt before, but that doesn't mean that someone won't hurt you!"
Kakashi I will be fine. I'll come back with no injuries.
"You can't promise that."
Yes I can.
"No"

"yes, dammit. Kuro you-." I squeezed him tight before he could finish that. Don't worry I'll be fine.
"Fine you can go but if you come back with any injuries then you are never going on a solo mission again!"
Ok
"Good. Now dinner is almost ready so go set the table." I left without a word and grabbed the utensils and set them down on the table and set it for dinner like normal. Kakashi brought two steaming bowls over and set them down. I sat down in my seat and Kakashi sat in his. We said thanks, or Kakashi did and I just said it in my head. He pulled his mask down and ate while I set up my genjustu so he couldn't see my face. Once finished I pulled off my outer mask and slipped down my cloth mask and ate the soup. It was really good and I said so to kakashi through Morse code of course. He nodded and said thanks while blushing a bit. I chuckled in my head and continued to eat. Once I finished I put my masks back on properly and released the genjutsu. I grabbed my bowl and took it to the sink to wash it. After washing it I put it back where I belongs and headed to the bedroom. I grabbed my sleeping clothes and went a took a shower. After my shower I put on my clothes double checking to make sure no skin was showing and then headed out into the bedroom. I walked over to my bags and packed the stuff for my mission into it. Once my bags were packed, I set the alarm clock to 30 minutes before dawn and got into bed. Kakashi was in the bathroom and I knew he would join me shortly. I snuggled underneath the covers. What if I? Oooo yes hahaha! I pulled the covers over me fully so that I was completely covered. Then I grabbed one of Kakashi's books that he kept under his pillow. I also did a jutsu that gave me a light. I flipped through the pages until I found a good place and pretended to read. I was actually just going over my plan for the mission tomorrow. I wouldn't dare read the book as it was... disturbing, yeah that's the word. I found it quite unnerving that Kakashi read it in Public with no care, but I guess that's just who he is. Makes me wonder who wrote the book? Probably another pervert like Kakashi. I heard Kakashi walking over to the bed. "Kuro? Why are you under the covers?" No response. Well it isn't like I could have responded. "Oh right... uh well I'm going to lift the covers. I pretended to not pay attention to him as he lifted the covers rather made it look like I was reading the book. I rested a hand on the page to flip to the next one when I heard a high pitched squeal of embarrassment, fear, and anger? I turned to look at Kakashi and he was standing next to the bed with a very red face. One hand was covering his mouth and the other snatched the book from my hands. He snapped it shut and put it on the bedside table quickly. "Kuro! Why do you have that?! And why are you reading it!? How much did you read?" I got out from under the covers and stopped my jutsu. I stood on the bed and looked up at Kakashi as he was still taller than me. He still had a hand covering his mouth and the other hand was tense by his side. I reached out and hugged him. I was laughing. Hard. Of course he couldn't hear my laugh but he could feel that I was breathing weird. "Kuro?" I controlled my breathing and soon I had stopped laughing. I looked up at him and grinned although he couldn't see and ruffled his hair. Bakashi
"hey! Don't call me that! I'm not a Baka!"
It was a prank
"I knew that! That's why I went along with it."
Sure, and that squeal was acting too?
"Yes..." I squeezed him once with my arms and nuzzled my face in his chest. He picked me up and squeezed me as I wrapped my legs around him. He smirked down at me and fell into bed with me under him. A woosh of air went out of my mouth as the breath was knocked out of me. I struggled to get it back as Kakashi just laughed. I pinched his back until he got off of me and then punched him in the stomach so that the air was also knocked out of him. He fell to the bed face first as he struggled to breathe. I grabbed the covers and pulled them over me. A few minutes later Kakashi got his breath back and poked me through the covers.
"Hey Kuro it's bedtime so stop sulking." I pulled the covers back so that my head was showing. I took my hands out as well and made grabby hands for him. He sighed and got under the covers. He scooted close to me and I grabbed his shirt. I smushed my face into his chest and put one leg around him as he was laying on his side. He chuckled and placed one arm around me and the other on his pillow. I shifted a little but then fell asleep.
I woke up a few hours later to kakashi shifting and squirming around. He was sweating and I realized that it was pretty hot in the room. I woke him up by tapping his face.
Are you hot?
"Yeah I'm sweating because of how hot it is in this room."
Take your shirt off and we can sleep on top of the covers.
"Ok mother." He did as I told and laid down on top of the covers with a contented sigh.
"Yeah this is much better."
I just nodded at him and laid on top of his chest. He tensed a bit but soon relaxed once he realized that I was getting into my normal position for sleeping. My left leg was tangled with his and my right was pulled up to the side straddling him. My arms were on either side of him pressed up against his side, and the side of my face was smushed into his chest.
Goodnight Baka
"Night Kuro." We fell asleep and didn't wake up until my alarm went off.
