Part Twenty-Two: The Show

L: are you?

Conan: no I'm happily married but you know we have seen with this a certain someone and the people want to know.

L: well I mean my assistant is with me everyday. I don't think people think we are dating.

I'm trying to avoid taking about Jamie because I honestly don't know what we are and I don't want to rush anything on him.

Conan: you know I wasn't talking about your assistant even though she is beautiful but I'm talking more of a certain NHL captain...

L: ohhh I see who you're taking about. I mean we are good friends and I mean it's good to be around someone that gets you

Conan: so you're still single?

L: you know people always ask me this and I don't know why they care. Like my own family doesn't even ask me as much as the press does. You know I like to keep things private but I guess the press doesn't care about that. But don't worry if I was dating someone you'd see him in my aunts Instagram page so please go follow her.

I say this as I laugh because it is true.

Conan: well I guess we will just keep an eye out. Thank you Lucy for joining up today and sharing with us your new skincare line as well as some new up incoming projects.

L: thank you for having me. I love the energy Dallas gives off.

The interview came to end and I made my way back to the green room.

As soon as I get into the room I see Taylor pacing back and forth

L: hey girl you ok?

Taylor: omg that interview stresses me out like everything was so good and then he actually asked about Jamie like who does that??

L: it's ok I'm not surprised that he asked. It's been all over social media and honestly today with the whole paparazzi thing it didn't help. Jamie you ok?

J: yeah I'm great but is Taylor ok?

Taylor: yeah I just don't like people being stressed

L: girl no one is stress nothing is wrong.

Taylor: ok good because like I really like you two together and I don't want the media to be the reason you don't get together.

L: Taylor listen to me. Stop stressing. My life has been like this for like the past 6 years we will figure it out and nothing bad has happened to figure out

J: yeah like it's ok. I'm a hockey player I'm so media trained that I can answer a question with like 3 words.

Taylor: omg you guys are right. I'm sorry I just think you guys are really cute and I see how happy you are when you guys are together.

Jamie looks at me and smiles.

J: it's ok Taylor I'll take Lucy on a private date tonight and we can figure this all out. You don't have to worry about this.

L: yeah why don't you take the day off and move my meeting to tomorrow. Jamie and I are going to go out and you go do something fun. Take the credit card I gave you and get something nice

Taylor: umm ok but I don't need anything.

L: bye a car or something you stress about things for me. That means more to me than you know.

We get interrupted by a knock at the door.

Taylor: come in!

Conan sticks his head in.

Conan: i just wanted to come by and say sorry about the questions before. It's just apart of the job.

L: it's no worries I totally understand.

Conan looks over and sees Jamie.

Conan: I'm Conan!

J: Jamie. Please to meet you.

Conan: Im sorry to you too.

J: no worries.

Conan: are you guys dating?

J: ahaha I don't see any cameras right now. So is this apart of the job or are you just curious?

Conan: of course im sorry that's crossing a line. I don't want to invade your privacy.

J: no worries but I'd love for you to come to a game sometime. Just give the arena a call and im sure we can get you and your wife some tickets.

Conan: that would be awesome. It was great meeting you.

J: you too.

L: bye

Conan: bye.

Conan leaves the room.

Taylor: Jamie you're really good at that. Like you were passive aggressive yet really nice it was weird.

L: yeah like you answered the question but you also didn't. Like you were kind of rude but also not. 

J: I don't really know what you guys are saying but can we go get some food?

L: yess

Taylor: ok you guys go I'm going to go take a bath because I was way too stressed watching that interview.

J: so... next stop our date.
