Comment:
Our wisdom and understanding is weak when compared with the Lord's. His understanding is infinite.
We so often put trust in our own strengths and abilities. We become prideful when praised for our great accomplishments. We think of our talents as our own to do whatever we desire with them. But, you see, in the midst of the glamour of praise and compliments, we lose sight of what our talents really are.
Gifts. Yes. Gifts. Something given to us by Someone Else. We get so wrapped up in ourselves and lean more on our own understanding, that we forget that what we have has been given to us.
Instead of using our gifts to satisfy the cravings of our flesh, we must use them for the glory of God. We must acknowledge God through our gifts and talents and focus much more on Him than on ourselves. After all, His understanding is far greater than ours.
