A Writer's Sad Life

You spent days and nights,

Lighting up my life,

With words so bold and wise.

Your words were the master of the game,

Leading you to glory and blissful fame,

With your stories in my hand,

I felt like I was in a different land.

Unknown to me,

There was woeful sadness and darkness spread,

Behind the pages I so happily read.

Your life kept darkening,

 As you brightened mine,

With stories and poems, beautiful and sublime.

Inspiring and elevating young minds,

Made you one of a kind.

You will always be remembered for ages long,

And your greatness will never be gone.
