This will all make sense but a quick run down: I made Sam Woods and Hannah younger to fit the story better and it may be odd that they are teen but just go with it please :).
Woods is the love interest, Sam and Hannah will become your best friends and Tanner soon becomes your "uncle", you tell Tanner everything whether its a problem with friends or school or what ever you go to him.
You are in high school but you have to move schools which you don't really care about because you had like no real friends you talk to people in class but that's it so you were excited to move and try to make friends and not to be "the freak with no home".
