The Red Roses [ON HOLD]

Chapter I

I stood in the hallway looking out the window. It's raining hard outside.

It's getting midnight I should be heading to bed before they wake up.

I'm not supposed to be out of my room after midnight. It's too dangerous.

Well, that's what I heard from momma. I haven't seen her in 5 years since she disappeared. Before she left she told me not to trust anyone or go out of the room past midnight.

But I don't want to just yet.

I want to see them. The creatures of the night. You can say they are bad people but I think we just don't understand them.

My mother told me to stay away from them but I can't help to be curious.

Humans are food or a slave to them. Good thing I'm just a slave but that doesn't make it better.

I'm guessing your wondering what are these creatures?

Vampires, shifters, goblins, fairies, demons, etc.

But I'm a slave for a vampire.

These creatures disguise themselves as humans but you can tell what creature they are by how they act or look.

Like vampires are tall with dark hair and dark eyes. Their skin looks young.

Shifters are loud, lot of hair, and always travel in a pack.

That's pretty much all I know of these magical creatures. I have never been out of this castle. My momma told me almost everything I know.

"Irene, do you know what time it is?" Miss Beatrice says. She's the woman that took care of me when my momma disappeared.

She and my mother were close. I feel like she knows what happen but won't tell me.

"I'm just watching the rainfall," I reply.

"Come now, you know your mother wouldn't be happy if I let you be out here at this time."

"But she isn't here. So why does it matter what mother thinks? She left me, her daughter." I cry out. It still hurt after 5 years. I hate her for what she did, I don't think I could ever forgive her.

"Irene don't start now. Let's go to bed."

Miss Beatrice walks me to my room and put me to bed.

Morning came and I had to get ready to do my job around the castle. 

Master is not like ordinary vampires. He doesn't treat us poorly, he just pretends like we aren't there.

He loves to go out in his rose garden every morning. I watch him from the window.

He's so beautiful. He's the only magical creature I saw. If he looks like that just imagine what they all look like.

Momma told me she has seen a fairy before. People think they are these special creatures that give you any wish you ask.

But they will make your wish come true but with a price. They more like demonic angels if you ask me.

After I'm done taking a shower and putting on my clothes I walk out and head to the room where we keep our maid carts with supplies in them.

I get my cart and head to the laundry room. My job is to wash the sheets and clothes for the house. It's not hard because I get help from others and the master owns five washers and dryers.

After I'm done with laundry and folding clothes I head to the kitchen.

I stop in my tracks because something caught my eye or someone.
