"Red velvet you're performing in 5 minutes" we heard one of the backstage manager said
"Thank you, okay get ready girls" i get up from my seat checking everything on us
Costume check, make up check, in-ear and mic check "Okay i think we're ready" Wendy said
We get out from our waiting room and follow the backstage manager, on the way to the stage we meet fellow idols and we cheer at each other
"Okay wait here and we'll be right with you in a sec when everything is ready on the stage" the backstage manager said and we thank them
"Whoaaa first stage of our comeback is finally here let's give it our best" Yeri said energizing all of us
"I'm sure you girls will do amazing up there" we heard someone said
I turn around and see Jinwoo oppa there with Nat and some people behind them, some of them carrying instruments
We said hi to each other while waiting for our turn to perform
"You're performing after us oppa?" Seulgi asked
"Fortunately yes i am, so i can watch you girls perform before my time come" he said smiling, but i can't help to notice that his legs is shaking
"Nervous?" I simply said and he scoff and give me a look as if saying 'what do you think'
"He's shaking in his shoes.... literally" Nat said laughing at the last part
"Hey I'm finally debuting as a singer, I'm allowed to be nervous right now" he snapped back
We saw his action and laugh alongside Nat "don't be nervous oppa, trust me when i say that it will be over before you know it, enjoy it as much as you can up there" i give him a word of encouragement
"Thank you for that" he said finally smiling
"Geez look at you smiling, not even once when i said that did you smile" Nat said scoffing
"Well she does have that kind of effect on me" Jinwoo said shrugging
"Hey... be nice to Nat unnie" i pinch his side
"Ow... ow... okay sorry geez what is up with you two ganging up on me" he jumps a bit from me pinching him while the rest of us just laughed at his antics
"At least your nervousness is gone now right oppa" Joy points out
"Yeah thanks to all of you" he said smiling
"So you're performing with live instruments" i pointed out to the people behind him
Jinwoo look at them before turning back to us "yeah, i figure that it might be better for me to perform it with a live band as it not only will sound better but also calms me down knowing that I'm not performing alone up there" he explained
"Oh yeah... that reminds me that you never perform solo before beside that one time for that tv show ICSYV right" Wendy pointed out and he nodded
"Well now that i become a soloist i might have to get comfortable performing alone, but at the moment i rather have people on the stage with me
And it helps that some of them are old friends of mine, we used to perform and do gigs as a band together" he explained
As we talk we saw that a fan spotted our interaction with each other, they wave at us and even took some pictures
It's crazy that after we talk with Director Kim about our relationship and went with Jinwoo oppa plan, that a lot of fans is shipping us together and don't mind us if we have a relationship, not that they know that we are actually dating but they still encourage us to
