Hermione was waiting in the living room, she was pacing, there was a knock on the door and she ran to open it, Draco was standing there with a odd look on his face

Let her go Malfoy, if you truly love her, let her go

Those words kept repeating in his head while he watched the love of his life in front of him

"Something wrong?" Hermione whispered

"We need to talk" Draco whispered, Hermione gulped and stepped aside

"I need to tell you something..." Hermione said

"We need to break up" Draco blurted out, Hermione felt her heart plummeted to her feet

"W-What?" Hermione whispered

"Did you really believe that this would have lasted? We were kidding ourselves, we need to call this off before it gets anymore serious" Draco said, his Occlumency shields going up and preventing any emotion from showing

"N-no...Draco you don't mean that, please tell me you don't mean that" she whispered "why are you saying this?" She asked, trying to prevent tears from spilling out of her eyes

"I do Granger, did you really believe that we would have made it in the world, you're Hermione Granger, I'm Draco Malfoy, we're total opposites, we don't work" he said

He watched her fight the tears, his own shields coming down, no matter how much he tried to bring them up, she tore them down, Hermione had a hand over her stomach, she closed her eyes and all Draco wanted to do was take her in his arms

"Please...tell me the truth..." Hermione whispered, Draco closed his eyes and took a deep breath

"The truth? That is the truth" Draco lied

Hermione hit his chest, Draco saw all the emotions running through her chocolate glassy eyes

"TELL ME THE TRUTH! WE WERE FINE! WE WERE PERFECT! Tell me the truth" she cried

"Hermione..." Draco whispered

"TELL ME THE TRUTH" she yelled

"You don't deserve me, I'll ruin you, I'll ruin your future and you'll grow to hate me, I won't be able to handle you hating me... you deserve to be with someone who can give you everything" Draco said, holding back tears, his voice getting heavier with sorrow and pain, Hermione hit his chest again

"I don't want everything, I want you Draco, I want you, please, please Draco" she said, putting her hands on his cheek

"please, please, please" she whispered, kissing him in hopes that he'll hear her pleas

Draco began to cry, kissing her back, knowing that this will be the last time he'll ever have the opportunity to feel her lips on his

He pulled away and put his hands on hers, a shaky breath escaped his lips, Hermione shook her head in denial

"I need to let you go" he whispered, kissing her forehead softly and prying her hands away from him

"D-" she began, he pulled away and walked to the door, Hermione let a heart wrenching sob escape her lips and reached out to him

"No! Draco! Please! PLEASE!" She cried as she tried to grab him hand, he couldn't turn to look at her so he aparated, he could still hear her cries, they will always haunt him

Hermione collapsed on the floor and hugged herself, sobbing and calling out Draco's name

Taffy ran out and stood beside Hermione
