Virgil was alone to see his fate while Roman was in the middle of a family swarm along with his twin brother Remus

The clock ticked down

Virgil thought that it was a joke, he ran to the motel where he was staying in that was owned by his only friend in the world Patton and tried to wash it off in the bathroom

His fate didn't go away. Virgil hated that this is a thing, his own parents died from this a few years after he was born. Their fate was to die when he turned 5. All Virgil could remember about his parents was stars and purple butterflies

Meanwhile Roman was excited about his fate. He was hoping that this Beautiful Anxiety isn't a girl but someone who he would see around the hallways of campus, a certain Emo who he felt was alone all the time

Virgil knew about Roman, he was friends with the popular college students who were jerks to everyone around them. Virgil kept seeing his signature written on play signups during the theatre season

Roman knew nothing about Virgil but wanted to get to know him. He is friends with Patton so Roman headed out to the Morality Motel

(Patton)
Oh hey Roman! Want a place to stay?

{Roman}
No unfortunately, does a Virgil Melentha live here?

(Patton)
Yes, he does. Why do you ask?

{Roman}
I've always wanted to get to know him better, I keep seeing him around campus and I just felt like he's lonely all the time

(Patton)
You are correct, Virgil is somewhat lonely. I am his first friend and he trusts me. Be warned however, Virgil is very shy and prefers to not talk about his past. His anxiety and paranoia keeps him up so a cup of lavender tea will help his drowsiness

{Roman}
Did you say Anxiety?

Roman shows Patton his arm

Patton leaves his desk and takes Roman's hand, leading them down the motel doors until they reached the last one

The door was painted black and had purple patched designs painted in spots on the door. The number seven on the door was painted purple and had a silver spiderwebbed design

Patton knocked on the door, he looked through the keyhole and didn't see Virgil. Patton opened the door, finding it unlocked which was weird. He knew that Virgil always triple checked if his door was locked

The carpet was black and had the same texture as living room carpets. The walls was painted a light lavender. A small table was next to the door. A basket labeled keys and wallet was on top of the table. A pair of black shoes with purple diagonal elastic cording was tucked under the table

The first room near the door was the kitchen. Above the open doorway was a clock who's hands went faster then normal.

The tiles were black and the countertop bases was purple. A black and silver marble covered the top. A dark grey stove was against the back wall and a black fridge was against the back wall too, the stove and fridge was separated by a counter. A sink was across the fridge and next to it was a coffee machine and tea maker. Many bags of lavender tea was stacked and piled up on the corner of the counter. The upper and lower cabinets were all labeled with black paper and written with a fine tip silver pen

The room next to the kitchen was more open and not confined to a small space. A couch-bed was laid out, the covers were black and the pillows and sheets were purple. A stuffed cat head sat in between the two purple pillows. A bedside table had a lamp with a stripy Tim Burton-esque lampshade along with a Maleficent Funko Pop

Above the bed was a variety of Emo Band posters along with a Death Note poster. Fake spiderwebs was hung from the ceiling. Across from the couch-bed was another table that held a T.V. A tray next to the T.V had the remote and channel guide. Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network, Spooky Movies, and McMusic Choice channels consisting of Pop Punk and Emo were all circled in purple pen. The rest of the channels were all crossed out. Above the T.V was a Jack and Sally poster from the Nightmare Before Christmas

Past the couch-bed area was a small drink fridge holding water. Labeled on the door was Don't Forget! A purple beanbag was shoved into the corner next to the drink fridge, a weighted blanket was folded and sat on top of the beanbag. Instead of blinds, black and purple spider patterned curtains covered the windows instead

A black desk was up against one of the windows, a chipped purple cat mug held art supplies like pencils and metallic pens. Next to the desk was a purple wicker laundry hamper. A black laptop that had Emo lyrics and references stickers was on the desk along with a 14 ringed Premiere by Nicole black sketchbook sat on top

A dark grey door was next to the T.V table, a jester mask was hung on it. Roman assumed that the bathroom was behind there

A lump was under the black covers, a small pale hand was gripping the soft fabric. Patton found Virgil's purple hair and ran his fingers through it. Virgil started to wake up, seeing Patton and recognizing Roman. His face was smudged with a black powdery substance and his eyes were 2 different colors, shining like Amethysts and Emeralds

Virgil, you recognize Roman right?

Virgil nods, wrapping his blanket around him

Hello. I'm Roman, I have admired you from afar the campus. I'm your Brave Hero and you're my Beautiful Anxiety

Virgil mumbles something

Virgil pulls up Romans jacket sleeve and pointed to the now glowing words

Well everyone's fate is different, it's not all a curse

For my parents it was

Virgil leaves his bed and grabs his sketchbook, flipping through the pages until he stops at one. He hands it to Roman, the picture has his parents fate written on the top and an old photo of Virgil's parents was glued in the page. Doodles of stars and purple butterflies was dotted all over the paper

Virgil...

Virgil started to cry into his blanket, Roman put down the book and opened his arms. Virgil cried into Romans shirt

Patton had to go back to work, leaving the Brave Hero and Beautiful Anxiety alone

Roman gently pulled Virgil into his lap and protectively held him close. Virgil stopped crying and fell back asleep, Roman smiled and laid them both down on the bed

He tucked in Beautiful Anxiety and was about to leave when a hand clutches his wrist

Roman smiled once more, taking off his jacket and tossed it in the open purple wicker hamper. He turned off the lights and laid down next to Virgil. The Brave Hero protectively but gently pulled Beautiful Anxiety closer to him and fell asleep
