Unexpected

Confrontation

"Colson." I said, eyes wide.

"I didn't mean to just show up I..." He started, and trailed off the moment he saw Zayne. "Zayne, long time no see. Funny seeing you here at Sienna's."

"Hey, man." Zayne said nervously. He knew all of the truth was about to come out.

"You're both here. Good." I said, and I honestly didn't even care about that finding out about each other at this moment. "I wanna know the truth, and I wanna know it now."

"I'll get to that in a sec." Colson said, and returned his gaze to Zayne. "What the fuck, man? The second I leave and turn my back, you get with my girl?"

"You left her broken, I picked up the pieces." Zayne said, standing up. "I did what I needed to do."

"What you needed to do?" Colson asked incredulously. "You needed to lie to her to get in her pants? You needed to be a shitty friend?"

"I love her, Colson. Do you know how hard it was to watch you be with her, knowing she should be with me?"

"Wait a minute." I interjected. "So you're telling me that Colson was telling me the truth? You really did lie to me?"

He just hung his head in shame.

"You treated me like I was some kind of prey. Like I was some prize in your sick, twisted game! You let me trust you, and took advantage of the fact that I was so broken. Who does that?"

"I'm gonna beat your fucking ass for that." Colson growled, sounding cold. "Her and I could of been together right now if it wasn't for you."

"You think so?" Zayne asked.

"I know so. I tried to call her, after I left."

"One phone call? Come on."

"Or the fact that I took her on the tour bus with me when my career started. There's that also." Colson stated.

"But I'm guessing you somehow fucked that up, right?"

"Can you stop?" I asked, but they both ignored me.

"Well, there's also the fact that we've been fucking since the day she got here." Colson smirked, and Zayne immediately snapped his head over to me.

"You said you bumped into him the other day." He said to me.

"It doesn't feel too good to be lied to, does it?" I asked him. Ordinarily I would feel terrible, but after finding out that Zayne based this whole thing off of a lie, I don't have any remorse.

"You cheated on me! That's not the same fucking thing!" He yelled, and Colson took a step towards him.

"Watch your fucking tone when you talk to Sienna."

"I did not cheat on you. We were broken up months before I even left to come to LA." I said.

"We were still a thing and you know it Sienna. Do not try to make your side of the story sound better because you are still in the wrong too."

"I know I am! But that doesn't just excuse you lying to me, because that is so much worse."

It felt like hours passed as the three of us argued back and forth, and I was trying to hold back the contents of my stomach as I dealt with all of this. But at one point Zayne said something that sent Colson over the edge.

"You know what, fuck you Sienna. I did everything and it wasn't enough for you. You deserve someone like Colson."

"The fuck you just say to her?" Colson asked, getting in Zayne's face. "I don't give a fuck what you say about me, but you're not about to disrespect her."

He shoved Zayne, and then punched him. I wasn't about to have a fight here, so I stepped in his path before he could punch him again.

"Stop." I said, holding my hands on on his chest to keep him back. "Please don't do this."

"He had this coming. It's been along time coming, too." He said, and stared Zayne down.

"For me, please don't." I begged. "Zayne, leave."

"I need my stuff." He huffed.

"I'll fucking mail it to you. Go, now."

He wasn't happy about it, but he walked past us, and out my door. Colson and I turned to look at each other, and I could see that he was still so angry. He looked like he was trying to keep his mouth shut, to keep from saying something he would regret.

"Why would you do that?" I asked him. "Everyone in this situation is hurting."

"You're kidding me, right?" He asked. "What he did was unforgivable. Not only did he play you, but he broke bro code. He deserves his ass beat for that."

"What he did was wrong, I agree with you."

"Please do not tell me you're about to defend him." He scoffed. "You know what, I should go." He said, throwing his hands up and turning to head for the door.

I ran after him, and grabbed his arm to stop him.

"Colson, please don't walk away again." I said, tears spilling over.

He looked like he was hurting too. He swallowed a lump that was in his throat, and wiped a tear away from my cheek with his thumb.

"I think we need some space to sort this out. If this is ever gonna work, this is necessary." He said, and then pulled me in for a hug. "I love you so much, and I want to make sure that once we do this, there's no baggage like this holding us back."

I just nodded, and he placed a hand on my cheek, and kissed me slowly. I was falling apart again, afraid of what's going to happen. I was frozen in place once he left, unable to move. I just stood there and held myself, until the nausea was too much to bare.

As I wiped my mouth, I started to worry that maybe this wasn't just a bug. I decided to order a pregnancy test online, just to ease my mind.

It was radio silence from Colson and Zayne the next few days. I couldn't stand it. Especially from Colson. This is part of what got us in this position the last time. I didn't wanna push it though, I wanted to give him his time to figure it out. I had to do something that I've never been good at. Being patient.

Once my pregnancy test arrived, I found myself nervous to actually take it. What if I was pregnant? It would obviously be Colson's baby. But would he accept it? Was he ready be a dad? Was I ready to be a mom? Were we ready coparent together? Would he feel trapped?

Those are the thoughts that ran through my head as I waited for my results to pop up on the test. I held my breath as I saw the icon pop up.

"Shit." I said under my breath.
