09: Firewhisky and Dances

Start from the beginning

"Now you mustn't be too obvious, you are expected to act discreetly not recklessly." The tall man added, before raising a brow at Sirius.

"What's that supposed to-" Sirius was just about to question the look he was given, when a letter flew right into the room, straight to the table.

Sirius reached for the letter only for Moody to snatch it before he could even hold it. They watched as he examined the letter's envelope, "Bloody witch." he sighed exasperatedly.

At that, they already knew who it was for. Some even chuckled at how annoyed Moody looked, he definitely didn't like it when meetings got interrupted. He turned to look at Tonks and ordered, "Fetch her, eh?"

Guinevere stopped on her tracks, when someone softly knocked on the door whilst she was pacing.

"Come in."

The door slightly opened and revealed the pink haired witch, "Wotcher!"

"You're done early today?" Guinevere surprisedly asked.

Tonks snorted at this and shook her head briefly before pointing to her back, "Oh no.." she said as her eyes widened, "You've gotten a letter."

Guinevere turned to face the taller woman and bit her lip, "Let me guess, it interrupted the meeting?"

She nodded at this and smiled warmly at Guinevere, gesturing for her to come down with her. Guinevere approached her and tightly closed the door behind them as they began their way down.

"Guess Moody's moody again, huh?" she asked.

"Always is." Tonks replied simply,

As they neared the dining room, Guinevere could feel herself tense. Not because she was scared of what the members would tell her, honestly she didn't really care at the moment. She didn't know what to expect, and she hated not having the advantage in a situation.

She smiled slightly at the people around her and took a seat in between Sirius and Tonks. Guinevere reached out for the letter in the center of the table and began reading it,

Dearest Gwynn,

How are you? I hope you're doing great, I'm glad you aren't here to witness any of the occurrences here. They (you-know-who's whole lot) have been spending a whole lot of time here in the manor. Which means I am required and expected to be there at all times, considering that it is in fact, held in our home. If you can still call this place a home, anyway.

I'm doing fine, to say the least. I've gathered information I think will be held useful for.. 'the cause' but I'm sure you know by now that I cannot say it here.

I'd like to request an audience with you, and I shan't take no for an answer. I am risking a lot, simply by writing this letter to you. I do hope you know that my intentions are nothing but pure, sister.

Name the place and date.

And also,
Happy 24th birthday, make sure to keep the grey hair at bay.

Sincerely,
G.L.L

"Wotcher, Gwynn! Didn't tell us it was your birthday!"

"I knew." Amelia proudly said as she pulled a bottle of firewhisky behind her.

Guinevere chuckled at this and rolled her eyes, "Didn't think it was important."

Molly stood up from her seat and made her way to Guinevere. "Oh of course it is, dear!" She said as she pulled Guinevere to her feet and hugged her tightly.
