45. Through The Eyes of Others.

"You could have come to me earlier." She said. I had to inject it into her before I lose the chance. This is my chance. "Or at least to Ka-"

I interrupted her by leaning in and kissing her on the lips. I didn't want this to be the way to kiss her. I wanted it to be special but I had no choice. This silenced her and also gave me a chance to get closer to her. While she was taken back and shocked by my actions, I moved my hands behind her head and injected the serum into her neck.

Instantly, Shizukana pushed me away and stepped back in shock. She had her hand on her neck and her eyes moved to the syringe in my hand.

"Sasuke?" She called out to me. Her voice was weak and she looked betrayed. I felt a sudden jolt in my stomach as her face slowly started losing colour. This is for a good reason.

I dropped the syringe and walked towards her. She tried desperately to her away from me. She stumbled back before her face quickly contorted into pain. She whimpered in pain as she collapsed to the floor.

I tried to catch her but I heard footsteps behind me. I turned to find Sakura looking at me in shock. Great. Now, what should I do?

Third person's P.O.V.

When Sakura left, she reached the door of her house before she realized that she had Shizukana's bag. Cursing at her stupidness, Sakura turned around and headed back to the street where she left Shizukana and Sasuke.

It didn't take long as Sakura jogged down the road and hoped that they already didn't leave.

She rounded the street where Shizukana was to see something she didn't expect.

Sasuke stood there but next to him was Shizukana was crumpled on the floor with a pained expression on her face. Sakura stood there in shock as she tried to comprehend the situation.

Sasuke turned to face Sakura who noticed the syringe on the floor. Sakura then let out a scream before running towards Shizukana.

Sasuke caught Sakura by the hand and pulled her away from Shizukana. Sakura fought back by punching Sasuke hard in the face. Sasuke growled in return and pushed Sakura away from him.

Sakura knew that she couldn't defeat Sasuke but she could stall him. Sakura called Shizukana's name as she tried to keep Sasuke away from Shizukana.

Sasuke ran towards Sakura and pulled her away from Shizukana who had now passed out and was lying completely still on the floor.

Sakura quickly kicked the syringe which rolled underneath a bench nearby. Sasuke didn't seem to notice as he grabbed Sakura by the neck and pressed her pressure point, successfully knocking out the Medic Ninja.

With a heavy sigh, Sasuke lifted Sakura and placed her on the bench. He then turned around and knelt next to Shizukana.

She was breathing unevenly and her face was scrunched up in pain. Sasuke clenched his teeth. They told me it wouldn't hurt her. That it would only knock her out. While cursing in anger, Sasuke gently lifted her and disappeared into the night.

Sakura's P.O.V.

The next morning.

"Kid." A voice woke stirred me from my sleep. I didn't want to wake up now. "Wake up."

"Five more minutes, Mom," I muttered hoping she would leave me alone.

"Mom? Kid, the last time I checked, I was a man and I did not have any kids. I think?" The voice said jolting me from my sleep. I opened my eyes and quickly sat upright. I looked at whoever it was and it was a man. A ninja to be specific. He had a patrol band on his arm.
