Dream laid out Zephyr's clothes. She had two hours before it was time to take Zephyr to school and she had to separate all the clothes MoMo gave her. She was truly thankful for all MoMo had done for them. Knowing it was about time for her to wake up Zephyr, she got up and walked to his room and woke him up.
"Wake up baby. We gotta get ready for school." She rubbed his hand. Seeing that he was still sleepy, she picked him up and took him to her room; not forgetting to grab his towels and toothbrush. She then put him in the bath and bathed him as he started to wake up.
She finished up and did everything else and got him clothes.
"Mommyfood." Zephyr said as she finished dressing him.
"Ok, you want eggo's?" She asked as they went downstairs. He nodded in response.
As Dream sat Zephyr on the counter, she saw a FaceTime screen pop up saying Rocco. She answered it and proceeded to hand Zephyr his eggo's.
"Good Morning Ma." He said as he looked down at his phone.
"Good Morning." She replied with a smile.
"Where's lil man at."
"Right here eating some eggo's."
"Lemme see." Dream showed him and as soon as Zephyr look up his face lit up. He grabbed the phone as started talking to him.
It's been three weeks since that day and Dream and Kahreeme got to know each other in that time. It was nothing romantic going on. To be honest they just liked each others company. They didn't overstep boundaries. They didn't even see each other in that kind of way. As they continued to get to know each other, Kahreeme and Zephyr developed a relationship as well. If it was anyone else, Dream wouldn't have let them meet because of course she doesn't know them like that; but because Kahreeme already knew about Zephyr and MoMo takes care of him, she let it happen. Zephyr really likes Kahreeme and vice versa.
Dream was happy that he had an adult male figure in his life while she was trying to figure out where and how to let his father know about him. Of course she wasn't throwing the father role on Kahreeme at all, she didn't expect him to want to as well. She just saw it as how any friend would act with their friends kid.
She also knew that dumping Zephyr on someone wasn't right, that's why she wants to let the father know. Of course she also isn't going to expect her baby father to want to be a father. Especially since it's been 5 years since that day. Regardless she'll respect the decision, she just wants her son to have a better life.
A life like hers at only the age of 19 is hard. She has no parents to turn to. Her and her brother don't communicate and all she has is MoMo. Of course momo is always welcoming them, but she feels that she shouldn't always do that because at the end of the day they aren't related biologically. Though Dream knows that she should accept the help she has as she works so much to get her and Zephyr in a stable spot.
