Special Chapter 3

Start from the beginning

First, she needs to boil the pork bones before anything else. "Ya, make your own placard," Jisoo says the moment she arrives in the kitchen carrying a white square card and a marker. Lisa lifts her head to look at her friend, drying her hands on her apron, before nodding with a smile, "okay."

"Waah, chocolate!" The older woman exclaims when she noticed the pile of chocolates on the kitchen counter, reaching her hand for a pack. "Aw," Jisoo complains, frowning at the younger woman. "I need those," Lisa widens her eyes for emphasis while the other just raised her eyebrow.

"You have eight packs. I can take one and it won't make a difference," Jisoo persists and makes an attempt again but Lisa just slaps her hand away with a hissing sound. "Come on." The older woman is already on the verge of stomping her feet.

"I'm doing all the work here. The least you could do is pay me with this chocolate." Lisa looks bemused at the guilt-tripping before she rolls her eyes, "okay."

Jisoo squeals and almost jumps in joy when Lisa permits her to get one. "Don't let others know or else," Lisa glares at her in a warning, and the older woman just nods, already munching on it, "ge," she says and walks out.

Lisa sighs, "I was going to eat that while cooking." She scrunches her face before looking at the kitchen counter. "I'll get into it," she says to herself and prepares for the ice cream. As she put the two gallons in the freezer, she catches sight of the placard and marker.

She closes the door and smirks as she walks toward it. Sitting on a stool, she removes the lid of the marker, "tsk, she didn't say what they put in theirs. Oh, never mind," she says and scribbles on the placard but of course, she has to make it beautiful, just like how their life would be if Jennie says yes.

She lifts it up and smiles wide in satisfaction. This is the first time she ever did something close to being artistic no matter how colorless black and white is. She suddenly let go of the placard when she heard a smack on the kitchen counter and tries to stop it from being seen.

Cold sweat suddenly coats her forehead as she sighs in relief when the card landed on the surface upside down and glares at the intruder who is already staring at her with wide eyes, "Jennie's here," and her heart bounces out of her chest as she stands up abruptly.

"What?!" She screeches that made Yeri wince, "hide Taehyung and Kookie!" She instructs and quickly hides the placard inside a cupboard when Yeri left, walking briskly toward the entrance to block Jennie literally everywhere.

When she heard Jennie's laugh, she stops her brisk walk and trudges calmly in her direction. As Jennie comes into view, she smiles unconsciously and the cat-eyed notices her presence.

"Hey, you're early," Lisa greets her, engulfing her in a hug as if she hasn't seen her just two hours ago. Jennie reciprocates the hug with a chuckle, "you don't want me here?" She jokes which made Lisa pull away, "what? No!" She denies abruptly that caused Jennie to narrow her eyes at her.

The doe-eyed sighs and rolls her eyes, smelling Jennie's suspicions in the air. "Come," she says and guides Jennie toward the kitchen, "I was planning to surprise you."

Jennie stops walking, "then I should go," she says and Lisa just shakes her head, "but it's better this way. I won't have to repeat any recipe with your help," she says cheekily which earned her a light shove in her ribs.

"Plus, I get to be with you for longer hours before dinner," Lisa smirks but widens her eyes in alarm when she caught sight of her suit jacket. "Why is your suit jacket just lying around?" Jennie asks, opting to walk toward it causing Lisa to slip a high-pitched sound in panic, racing toward it.
