Chapter 19 - Inheritance test

Start from the beginning

"Yeah okay," I said nodding, I was rather overwhelmed with all the information I was receiving. Ripsaw waved his hand and a list of vaults and properties appeared, he handed me the list and I folded it neatly before sliding it into my bag, I'd look at it another time, perhaps on the train.

I did one last look over the test before furrowing my eyebrows. At the very bottom Prophecies (1)

"Ripsaw what is this about a Prophecy?!" I said handing the parchment to the Goblin.

"Have you not been told about this? You should have been," the goblin said furrowing his eyebrows.

"No, I haven't! What is the Prophecy!?" I said slowly feeling my anger build up.

Ripsaw began muttering to himself rapidly before walking out of the room. I sat there in a state mixed between confusion and anger.

What did he mean I was supposed to know this?? Did my Mum know about this? No, she would have told me, wouldn't she?? Did my dad know about this?? Where did Ripsaw go??

My thoughts were interrupted when Ripsaw came back into the room this time holding a scroll, he once again laid it out in front of me and I began to read.

------------

The Golden one approaches,

Born from both wizard and non-magical,

Born as the new year begins,

The Golden one will hold immense power like nothing that has been seen for centuries,

The Golden one will end the fight between good and evil, for better or for worse,

For whichever side they choose will succeed.

-----------------------------------------------------

I sat there re-reading over and over, jaw slacked and mouth wide open in disbelief.

"Miss are you okay?" Ripsaw asked after a few minutes.

"Who else knows about this?" I said not answering his previous question.

"Many people know about it but as far as we know the only person to know that you are the child of the prophecy was your father, but since he is dead, no one. But I assume if you have not been careful, people like the likes of Albus Dumbledore are already suspicious considering your way above average abilities," he replied making me nod.

Of course, Dumbledore knew, This is the thing he has been keeping from me. No wonder he asked McGonnagll to give me extra lessons.

I clenched my fists tightly in anger and things all around the room began to shake and rattle.

I bet he's just planning to use me. How. Dare. He.

I took a deep breath in and out repeatedly until the vibrating all around the room slowly began to stop. I put my face into an emotionless state and turned back to Ripsaw who was looking at me intrigued.

"No one else is to know about this," I said leaving no room for debate.

"I swear on magic itself it shall not leave this conversation," Ripsaw said seriously.

"Please make sure that I am the only one who has access to my vaults Ripsaw, I don't want anyone stealing anything that belongs to me. That includes my mother, whatever rights she has to the Jenkins family fortunes through marriage shall be removed " I added the final statement as an afterthought. Call it me being a control freak but from now on what was mine, was mine, and if anyone wanted something they had to ask first.
