"Make sure to use a very clear voice dear," Molly reminded me and I nodded.
"Diagon Alley!" I said, my voice steady and clear. The familiar green flames engulfed us and the feeling of being stretched and pulled in different directions came over me. After a few seconds of this green flames surrounded us again and we were now faced with the crowded, busy streets of Diagon Alley.
Waiting for us were the twins who smiled at us in greeting.
"Hey, Mum told us to wait for her here before we get money out at Gringott's, but Bella you already have your money so you can go ahead if you want," George told Ginny and me.
"Actually, I was thinking of getting an inheritance test done, seeing as I haven't had one yet," I started. "but I think that takes a while so I'll go ahead and get a head start," I said before going in the Direction of the Wizarding Bank. Since my first visit to Gringott's I had read many books on "Pureblood Etiquette" and I knew if I was ever going to be taken seriously by the wizarding community that I would have to behave respectfully. I know knew that most wizards unfortunately never respected magical creatures such as the Goblins so I brushed up on the correct way to treat them as well as my etiquette.
Like I said before not many people respected the Goblins so when I bowed my head in respect at the Goblins at the many doors of Gringotts they had trouble hiding their shock. Normally wizards would just barge past them but someone had actually acknowledged them, and it was a little girl.
I made my way through the entrance hall with my head held high and my posture straight. When I made my way to the front desk the Goblin looked up at me expectantly.
I smiled and bowed my head in a respectful greeting
"Good morning sir, I was wondering if I could have an inheritance test done please?" I asked politely. The Goblin looked slightly shocked at the kindness he was receiving which made me sad, the Goblins were practically the only ones keeping the wizarding world in check and they weren't even treated fairly, it was horrible.
"Oh, Yes okay, Miss?"
"Jenkins, Isabella Jenkins," I said with a small smile. The goblin gave his own version of one back exposing his sharp teeth but I assumed he meant well.
"Right this way then Miss Jenkins," the Goblin said stepping away from his desk and leading me down a corridor and into a room.
He sat behind a desk and motioned for me to sit at the chair in front of it. I sat down in the overly uncomfortable chair and waited for instructions.
The Goblin set out a piece of parchment on the desk and took a dagger from one of the draws of the desk.
"Seven drops of your blood, no more no less," The Goblin said in an almost bored tone as if he'd said it a thousand times, whilst handing me the sharp blade.
I took the dagger and cut diagonally on the parm of my hand, holding down a flinch. I counted seven drops of blood dripping down onto the parchment before I moved my hand away. I handed the dagger back to the Goblin who cleaned it magically with a wave of his hand.
I looked down at my hand and saw that the gash on my hand was still bleeding, pushing some of my magic down to my parm, I watched as the cut slowly stitched itself back together and became nothing but some dry blood.
I had cut my knee over the summer when I had found out I could heal small injuries with my magic and since I wasn't actually using my wand or any spells I couldn't get in trouble with the ministry.
I reminded myself to look for books about magical wards for my new house in flourish and blots. Maybe I can find ones strong enough so I could use magic without it being detected by the ministry.
