The world came closer and closer to us. The window wasn't big enough to enclose it all. Bright sun shone along the waving water that lined a sandy beach. Even in the air you could practically see everything below you.

Landing a little roughly, we had made it to Hawaii. The plane slowed down on the runway until it met a complete stop. I turned to my right to see my boyfriend, Ethan, passed out with a sleeping mask over his eyes. I giggled a bit to myself, lifting it slowly off of his eyes. The light from within the plane woke him up. He rubbed his eyes looking at me afterwards.

"Did we land already?" He asked still half asleep.

"Yes, sleepyhead. You were out the whole flight!" I laughed.

"Someone kept me up last night with her upset stomach!" He teased me.

"It's not my fault I got food poisoning! Plus, I am fine now!"

"Yeah, yeah." He chuckled, standing up to grab our luggage. He handed me my other bag that was up in the compartments. I threw my backpack over my shoulder and held my duffel bag in my other arm. Slowly but surely, everyone on the plane exited.

Ethan and I waited in the lobby outside the gates for the rest of the group. Our first arrivals was Tyler and Mika. Tyler looked to be just as tired as Ethan was. Mika, on the other hand, seemed completely fine. They walked over to us and waited.

Then came a taller, bearded gentleman and a significantly smaller individual that bounced around next to him. Seán and Xena waved at us as they made their way over.

"Hey children!" Seán greeted Ethan and I.

"Hi father!" I replied.

"Wait." Ethan began. "If Seán is your father, does that make Xena your mother?" Xena became flustered at the thought. Seán wrapped his arm around them proudly.

"I guess it does!" He said. Xena blushed, looking down at their feet, attempting to remain cool.

"Hey guys!" A voice shouted at us. We turned to see Bob and Wade with Hawaiian styled, tropical shirts on, and a straw hat. They both had black sunglasses on while being inside.

"We can't take them anywhere, can we?" Mika added.

"No, we can't." I replied.

"Crazy uncles, what else do we expect?" Ethan added.

"Don't know, but we are stuck with them for a month!" Seán laughed. Xena rolled their eyes with a chuckle. "Don't remind me" They said.

"They beat us, Mark!" A feminine voice exclaimed.

From the gates emerged a slimmer lady with sunglasses, long brown hair, and bags on her shoulder. Next to her was a muscular, dark-haired man who ran his fingers through his hair, throwing a smile our way. The man of the hour!

"Looks like the gang's all here!" Mark said. "Let's move out!"

We all rode a bus out of town to get to our rental house. Some time passed on the busy bus line. People came on and off. Locals who already knew where they were headed helped us determine locations. It was very helpful.

We finally stopped at a place where we could walk a few blocks to the house. A grande sized, multilevel house surrounded by palm trees and various shrubs. You could hear the waves of the oceans crashing behind it. We had a private section of the beach, plus the main beach to go to as well!

Mark lead us up the steps, jingling the keys, and unlocking the doors. We walked inside to an open foyer, steps leading up to the top floor with some of the rooms, huge windows and a glass door that lead out to a patio. From there, you have the most beautiful view of the ocean. A bright, modern kitchen for cooking all sort of meals, a lounge area, and bathrooms that are very well kept. It was paradise!

"There are 7 rooms total! Some of us need to room together, unless others prefer the couches!" Mark laughed. "Feel free to check out the rooms and decided where you want to stay, be sure to unpack everything too!" Ethan turned to me with a smile.

"Would you be opposed to sharing a room with me?" He asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt." I told him. He rolled his eyes jokingly before we began to skim the rooms.

We decided on a room on the main floor. It had a window that showcased the backyard beach. A queen-sized bed was tucked into the corner with a small nightstand and lamp beside it. A six-drawer dresser against the wall for us to put our clothes in. We split the drawers in half and began unpacking.

"Do you think Mika and Xena are rooming together?" Ethan asked. I folded a pair of shorts, setting them inside the drawer.

"I think Xena would much rather have roomed with Seán than Mika. Seeing that they are dating." I replied.

"That's right.. I forget sometimes." He added.

"Damn, you need to stay in the loop about these things. It's the hottest tea in the group my man!"

"They do seem to have great amount of chemistry. How long have they been together?"

"Well, It is July, they got together.. I think late November? So it's been about 8 months." I said closing the drawers I had filled.

"Wow, I can't believe it's been that long." Ethan stood up, moving his bags to the side.

"Yeah, It's been a while." I added. "But I am just glad to see them happy."

"I agree."

"You want to check out the beach out back?" I asked. Ethan smiled happily.

"Yes! Of course!"

The two of us walked out in shorts, a tank top, and some slides. We followed the path from the patio and sank into the sand a bit the further we got to the waves. The sunlight glistened off of the arches of the water. Small pieces of drift wood and shells washed up along the shore.

"It's beautiful." I said watching as a seagull flew by.

"It is! I feel so refreshed just being here." Ethan said. He grabbed my hand, holding it tightly in his. "I'm also glad to be here with you."

"Me too." I told him with a warming smile.

"Hey lovebirds!" An Irish voice yelled out from behind us. Ethan and I turned around to see Seán and Xena waving at us.

"Want some drinks?" Seán asked.

"Sure!" I yelled back before turning to Ethan. "Come on!" I told him.

With his hand in mine, I lead him up the side of the house and back onto the patio. I pushed open the glass doors before heading into the kitchen. The group was surrounding the island counter with smoothies of all different varieties. It was hot enough that they would definitely be refreshing!

I grabbed my smoothie of choice and began to enjoy it. Ethan chose a mango and pineapple flavored smoothie. He seemed to love it!

"Who made these?" Ethan asked.

"I did." Mika said. "Don't worry! There's no alcohol or anything in it! I'll save that for later!"

"They're very good! Thank you, Mika!" I thanked her. She smiled brightly.

"It was nothing!" She replied brushing through her red-ginger hair. "I'm just glad you all enjoy them!"

"How does the beach look, Y/N?" Tyler asked.

"It's very beautiful! The wind bounces off of the water nicely so you're not too hot near it." I told him. "I bet the water is just as cooling."

"I bet!" He laughed. "We all will have to check the beach out later."

"That's right!" Mark began. "I want to go out to dinner tonight to celebrate our arrival! And so we can get accustomed to their food choices!"

"That sounds great!" I chimed in. Dinner will be so much fun!
