We were all sitting around the campfire, roasting marshmallows.

Sky "  Anyone thought about what we're gonna do tomorrow?"

Stella growled "driving back to town"

Musa and i looked at each other amused. 

Flora "i would love to go deeper into the woods. i've heard giant animals and other creatures live there"

Chatta smiled "sounds like an adventure. "

Musa "i thought we could send some postcards tomorrow morning"

Tune "well, young girls are supposed to send their parents postcards when they are away"

Layla froze "but, uhm, Musa, isn't your father ...uh-"

Musa smiled softly  "it's okay. I've never sent him one before but there's a first time for everything, right?"

Stella looked at the fire. 

Bloom nodded when realization hit her  "oh, you mean magic postcards"

I facepalmed myself. 

Musa sighed, amused "Bloom, you're forgetting there's no magic here"

Bloom sighed, nodding "true, i just can't get used to it"

Riven "i think it's about time you girls realize what it's like to have no magic - to have to depend on your mind and your muscles" 

i raised an eyebrow "I earned my Charmix without any magic, Riven, don't forget that"

Stella nodded "yeah, it means we can earn ours too"

Sky "let us know if the Specialists can help you somehow "

Tecna "we could use that in the fight against Darkar"

We were all asleep in our tents. 

I woke up because i heard a howl from outside. 

The girls were still asleep. 

I crawled out of the sleeping bag and left the tent. 

Sky was standing there on watch.

I walked over to him and put a hand on his arm "hey"

He smiled at me and put a kiss on my head  "hey, sleepyhead"

I smiled. 

There was another growl. 

I froze "what was that?"

Sky shook his head and looked around "i have no idea"

I sighed "Something's going on here, Sky. I have this strange feeling about this place"

Sky shrugged, pulling me closer by the waist "a shame."

I looked at him confused. 

Sky " It's actually a really romantic place, don't you think?"

I rolled my eyes, smirking. 

Sky "don't worry, Echo. I'll keep watch. and if anything happens you'll be the first one to know. "

I frowned "you really wanna stay up all night?"

Sky smiled, nodding "yeah. You girls are supposed to get some rest on this vacation. now, go back to sleep"

I pouted and looked at the water.

Sky asked amused  "what are you thinking about?"

Me "you know what would be really romantic?"
