AMIR TURNER.
FEAR. Something that humbles us without regrets. Something created in our minds to keep us at a standstill. Something that is another figment of our imagination. There's nothing in this world that you should be scared of. Not of losing people. Not of failing. Not of scary movies. Everything is already set in stone. So when it is it all said and done, you should never be afraid of the unknown.
"My bitch is about to be a doctor!" Ouni shouted as Amir walked out of the building.
"About to? I just graduated medical school. Allow me to reintroduce myself. My name is M.D. Amir Turner." She was so proud of herself. Her heart was so full. She had not a care in the world at that very moment. The moment she started focusing on herself she knew that she wouldn't stop until she was sporting those initials in front of her name. She gave all Glory to God. He turned her fears into belief. She felt on top of the world like there wasn't anything that she couldn't do.
"I'm so damn proud of you." Ouni wrapped her arms around Amir. Proud was an understatement. She seen Amir lose absolutely everything then watched her lose herself but she turned every stone that was thrown at her into gold and she conquered everything that she put her mind to.
"I literally couldn't of have done this without you. You didn't understand any of my medical work but you stayed up with me until 6 in the morning most nights to make sure I got it all completed. Thank you, Ouni. Like thank you so much." Amir had tears streaming down her face as she wrapped her arms around her only real friend. Amir cried, felt like giving up but Ouni wouldn't let her. The fact that someone believed in her so much, gave her a new purpose.
"Girl you know there was no way that I was letting you give up. You deserve this and so much more so we're going to get you everything that you deserve no matter how much work it take. You know you're a fucking star." Amir loved the hell out of Ouni. Realest to do this friend shit for sure!
"What we going tonight?" Amir asked once they got into her car. She immediately turned on the AC and took her blazer off, throwing it into the backseat.
"Down in the valley, where the girls get naked. If you throwin' bands—"
"Ho' shut up." Amir said cutting her off then they started laughing. "You can never be serious."
"Okay but no for real, I really wanna go to a strip club and before you oppose... please Amir? Don't tell me no."
"Why would I say no? Bitch it's lit as fuck tonight. I want my wig to be sliding off by the end of the night." And she was serious.

"Bow! Bow!" Ouni playfully smacked Amir's butt as she danced to In n Out by Mulatto. "That thang is thanginnnnn."
Amir was in pure bliss. Nothing mattered to her at this point but her happiness. After all that she endured, she was finally getting her happiness that she knew was well deserved and she would receive it with her head high. "I'll be back." Amir said before going to the bar to order a drink.
"What can I get ya girl?" The beautiful bartender asked showing off her beautiful teeth.
"I wanna be fucked up." Amir responded.
"One hurricane coming up." Amir thanked her then turned around to keep an eye on Ouni who had a man in her face. Niggas. She turned back around and watched as her drink was made.
"Here you go mamas."
"Thank you." Amir reached into her purse and placed two hundred dollar bills on the counter by mistake but she didn't dare take it back. She then quickly made her way back to Ouni.
Amir went to drinking her drink quicker than she expected. It started hitting her like a freight train. She stumbled back and sat down in a seat. "You okay?"
I shook my head 'no'. Amir couldn't remember the last time she drank liquor. Wine? All day. But that hard stuff? Nope. Ouni did not expect her to get drunk this fast. "I don't feel well."
"Come on mamas." She helped Amir stand up and carefully walked her out of the club. Amir accidentally bumped into someone but she was too ill feeling to even look up.
"Sorry." She mumbled to herself and kept walking.
"Ay."
"She ain't signing autographs right now nigga." Ouni said as she continued to push her way out of the club. They finally made it back to Amir's car. She safely got Amir into the car.
"I said Ay."
"Fuck nigga I said she ain't signi—" Ouni was about to snap but stopped in her tracks. Her breath had gotten caught in her throat. She was face to face with a real life murderer. She knew she had a slick mouth but damn. Someone wanted her to die?
"What's wrong with her?" He asked almost ignoring Ouni's existence. His only job was to make sure that Amir was alright. "You know she don't drink. Why would you let her drink? Let alone go get the drink by herself?"
His tone was harsh and Ouni was trying hard to hold her tongue because he was everything she heard about. A cold blooded killer. He would do that time if he ever got caught, he didn't care. "She was already gone when I turned around."
"Get in the car." He said snatching the keys out of her hand. Amir was falling asleep in the passenger seat, too unaware to know what was going on. Ouni folded her arms over her chest. "Bitch get in the fucking car before I leave this bitch with you dead or alive."
She kissed her teeth and got into the backseat. She reached up and took Amir's hand into hers. Her heart was sitting in the pit of her stomach. "Can we just take her to the hospital? That drink hit her way too fast. My intuition is never wrong." He looked at her through the rear view mirror and didn't respond but started on his way to the hospital.
Hours later, on the upper side and three towns over, Hue waited impatiently by his phone, high as hell and off a xan. His heart racing and palms sweating. His almost immediately answered his phone once he seen a call from Vince.
"Yo! Where you at nigga?"
"You got some fucking nerve nigga." He heard Ouni's voice come through the line. "You had someone drug her?"
"What the fuck are you talking about? Who the fuck is this?"
"Dyouni, nigga! You know she graduated med school today? She doesn't need your bullshit! She's done well for herself. I refuse to let you come back and fuck anything up for her! If you have any type of love for her, you need to let her go. Tell him to leave now."
Hue went through a lot just to find her but he hought to himself for minute. "Put Vince on the phone."
"What's the word?"
"Let 'em go but keep on the location. I ain't done yet." Then he hung up the phone once he seen Rylie coming into his study office.
"You look tense."
"Come here." He told her. She walked around his desk and he pulled her on to his lap. "I got a business trip I gotta take."
"When do you leave and when will you be back?"
"I leave tomorrow and I'll be back before your birthday."
"Are you serious? My birthday is in three months. That's not very settling, Hue." She stood up from his lap and looked at him in disbelief. "You're gonna do this shit to us again? Fuck me. But to her? You're her super hero. You know what? Whatever it is. I hope it is worth it. I really do. Because this time I may not be here when you get back." She left Hue alone with his thoughts.
