Destined to be

Today the moon is smiling,
looking at her reflection.
Like a bride who's marrying
someone with such affection

To the moon so lovingly
the stars are adorning
and the sea reflects the beauty
that the Moon bride is carrying.

Today, the night isn't lonely
the way it always used to be
Today, I have someone with me
someone I love so utterly

Today, the sky looks darker
and the moon looks bigger
The wind seems to whisper
Stories of an reckless adventure.

We are walking by the sea
and I wish to tell her
what she means to me.
That this would be forever.

I gather my courage, I dare
and I try to hold her hand.
a smile on her visage, she looks elsewhere,
she seems to understand.

She wraps her arm around mine,
that so lovingly
and I'm taken aback
A rush of adrenaline
runs down my body
and mere words I lack

The wind blows, the water flows
The waves bring us closer.
The time slows, the nature knows
we are bound to be together

I lose my balance
In his arms I fall
all my life, a lover's absence
in his presence, I feel it all.

Our eyes meet, Mind accepts defeat,
the heart has won the battle
The soul's replete, heartbeats become melodies
it's one's long awaited arrival

Moonlight falls on her lovely face
her skin seems to shimmer
My heart begins to race
a kiss embarks an amour

His hands are on my waist
To him, myself I surrender
all my nay thoughts are erased
unprecedented feelings engender

My feelings I didn't confide anyhow
yet she seemed to understand
I wonder what's she possibly thinking now
as we are walking hand in hand.

you don't have to tell me anything
your eyes, they do the talking.
They end up confiding everything
included the feelings that you're hiding

at first it was you,
now it's us of whom I am thinking
To love you, I was bounded to
by the wind, the sea and the Moon glowing.
