kio shook his head, looking up from his laptop. "no, she said she was going to be busy. but she's been posting tiktoks and stuff."

"yeah, but she's not directly talking to us, and she can't be that busy if she's texting sienna and addison," troy replied.

"she's texting the girls, but not us?" kio frowned, grabbing his phone. "that's fucking rude."

"why do y'all care so much?" vinnie yawned. "she sounds like a horrible friend."

both troy and kio glared at him. "shut up, vinnie. did you do something to her?"

"what do you mean?" vinnie asked, "why would i have done anything?"

"you're a bitch to her, did you say something mean?"

vinnie pretended he was thinking, scratching his head. "hmm, yeah, maybe."

kio smacked his shoulder, "you're fucking kidding, what did you say to her?"

vinnie shrugged. "just that i felt bad for her boyfriend because he was stuck with her. it wasn't anything bad considering the shit we say to each other on tiktok, so i don't think it's my fault, okay?"

"when will you two just stop arguing?" troy sighed, sitting on the bed. "maybe if you two have sex again-"

"i don't wanna hear it," vinnie said, holding a hand up. "it happened once and we both still hate each other."

"but you liked it, didn't you? every girl you hooked up with after nyla looks just like her," kio added, a smirk on his face. "or is it just a coincidence?"

"just a coincidence," vinnie replied, rolling his eyes as he ran a finger through his hair. "i didn't even know you guys cared so much about who i hooked up with."

"we don't," troy stated. "it's just weird because you hooked up with one of our best friends who you say you hate."

"she's a brat," vinnie said. "and all she does is argue with me."

"well, now she's not talking to any of us, and i miss her," troy said, stretching his arms over his head. "should we text her?"

"she won't answer, i already tried today," kio said. "maybe we should ask addison or something."

troy and kio left the bedroom, calling addison on troy's phone, leaving vinnie alone. he rubbed his eyes, grabbing his phone when he noticed that he had a notification that nyla posted a new tiktok.

he watched the 15 second video, which was just nyla doing a dance when spencer came in and hugged her from behind.

he clicked the comments, since he had nothing better to do.

"i don't get why you care so much, spencer!" nyla yelled as she poured coffee into two cups. "the comments are always like that, and we both decided we were ignoring them. and i haven't been hanging out with the boys or anything because you told me you wanted to spend time with me."

spencer stormed into the kitchen, slamming an open cupboard closed. "well, it's not enough, nyla. it's always about those boys!"

nyla laughed with absolutely no humor in her voice. "why is nothing ever enough for you?"

she handed her boyfriend the mug of coffee, watching his chest rise up and down as he tried to control his temper.

"you're acting like a fucking slut," he mumbled under his breath, but nyla heard it, clear as day.

"excuse me?" she asked, turned around and looking at him in shock. "you did not just say that, spencer."

the boy slammed the coffee cup onto the counter, the glass breaking and coffee spilling all over the white countertops and floor. nyla flinched, eyes wide as she looked up at her boyfriend.

spencer massaged his temples, "i'm scared i'm gonna lose you," he muttered, stepping away from the coffee dripping down the counters. "you're just so successful and everyone likes you and i'm-"

"stop it,"nyla said forcefully, stepped closer to spencer. "you are all i want, okay? you need to calm down."

the boy nodded, looking at his phone. "holy shit, i gotta go, i have to meet up with my study group."

he kissed nyla's forehead, and said, "i'm sorry, i really am."

nyla nodded, watching as he grabbed his bag and walked out of the apartment.

she leaned against the wall, her hands massaging her head, hoping for some relief after the huge headache she had been getting all day. recently, all that her spencer had been doing was getting into fights, apologizing, going on a date, getting into another fight, and so on. it was an endless cycle, and nyla was getting tired of it.

but she didn't want to let spencer go.

she sighed, grabbing a bunch of paper towels and heading back to her kitchen, placing the towels over the now cold coffee and trying to avoid the shards of glass all over the floor and counter.

carefully, bent down and she started cleaning up the broken mug, picking up some of the bigger pieces of glass on the floor and throwing them away.

suddenly, her doorbell rang twice, the loud noise making her lose her balance as her left hand grabbed the counter so she wouldn't face plant into the tiles.

a sharp piece of glass pierced the skin of her left hand, making nyla gasp as the she watched the red blood bloom from the cut.

the doorbell rang again, but this time, nyla heard the jingling of keys as someone unlocked her door from the outside.

nyla held her injured hand to her side as she quickly walked over to the front door, her heart dropping when she saw kio, troy, and vinnie standing in front of her.
