Alice beams suddenly as she comes out of a vision. "Bella's gonna be okay. I think."

"What did you see?" Chamberlin asks as he stands by the lit fireplace, Eleazar lit it for looks.

"Gemma," Alice replies with a smile. "Our Queen barged into Bella's room and forced her out of the room."

"Told you our girl was tough," Chamberlin says to Emmett. "Gemma's as strong as hell, man. With or without us."

Once let in on Christmas Eve, Gemma goes upstairs at the Swan residence and to Bella's room. She slams the door open and she finds Bella in the same rocking chair. She let the heartbreak consume her, like Karen warned her about.

Gemma storms over and she yanks the curtains closed. Bella looks at her blanket.

"Get your ass up, you're not doing this anymore," Gemma demands.

"He... he... he's gone," Bella rasps.

"Well, so is Emmett," Gemma snaps, turning into the stern sister she has always been and she now feels like a big sister for Bella - their relationship grew that much over the summer between their junior and senior year. "But you're letting it consume you!"

"I need... I need him," Bella whimpers.

"No," Gemma shakes her head. "You need you, Bella. You need you and in order for you to feel any bit better, you have to get your ass out of this room, shower, eat, and out of the house. Appease yourself, and Charlie."

Bella looks at Gemma like she's grown an extra head or boob. But she thinks about what Gemma is saying, she's right. Bella is let the heartbreak of Edward and his family leaving consume her. It's worrying Charlie and it's harming Bella more than she'd ever thought about.

Bella shakily grabs the arm rests of the rocking chair and she stands up shakily. She eats once a week, but due can't find herself eating more than that. Gemma helps Bella the bathroom and gets her in the shower before stepping out.

"Thank you, Gemma," Charlie says, his eyes showing his exhaustion.

"Happy holidays, Chief Swan," Gemma says with a soft smile.

Charlie smiles a little at the girl. "Happy holidays, Gemma."

"Go and get your tree set up," Gemma says. "I'll take care of Bella."

Charlie places a hand on Gemma's shoulder. "You're a gift from God himself," he murmurs before going downstairs.

Gemma smiles to herself and she hears the water inside stop. Bella is in a warm robe with a towel around her head when she opens the door. Gemma and Bella then go to Bella's bedroom and find her something warm and comfortable and Christmasy to wear.

Gemma brings Bella outside in the snow after that. Bella shivers immediately while Gemma feels at ease in the extreme cold like she is in the heat, cold, and whatever weather it is. As long as she's outside, Gemma is at ease. Bella looks at Gemma with wide eyes, life filling the brown orbs once again.

Gemma watches as Bella eats like she's starving, which she probably is. With Charlie's permission, Gemma made a big pizza she and Bella bought at the local market.

Charlie walks into the kitchen and he leans against the counter beside Gemma, he can't help but smile at the sight of his daughter out of her room, eating, and not as pale. He knew that when Gemma showed up earlier, that it would be for the best.

Gemma ends up spending the rest of Christmas Eve and all of Christmas Day with Bella, cheering her up and getting her out of her depression. Bella amd Gemma grew inseparable over the Christmas break.

Not only that, but in New Year's Day; Mike, Bella, and Gemma all learned that Charlie and Karen were dating.
