Link has been in Kakariko Village for a little over a week now and has barely ate and hasn't said a word to anyone and barely moves at all Paya is usually busy with polishing the statues but today finished early and decided to take a stroll around and stops by the inn to say hello.
Paya: "Good afternoon Ollie" she gives a warm smile while holding a basket full of apples
Ollie: is barely awake "H-huh? Oh! Good afternoon Paya"
Paya places a nice red apple on the counter for Ollie to enjoy
Ollie: "Oh thanks and uh have you heard the news?" Ollie leans closer to Paya and whispers "The hero is here supposedly, though he looks a little worse for wear"
Paya: "T-the hero!?"
Paya blushes deeply longing to see Link once again and quickly glances around seeing him in an almost vegetative state in the bed
Paya: "Goodness!"
Ollie: looks over at Link "Yeah he's been that way ever since he got here hasn't moved and hardly ate and he won't talk to anyone it's almost like he's dead"
Paya seemingly not paying attention to Ollie anymore slowly walks over to Link examining him up and down before pulling up a small wooden chair next to his bed then sits down next to him
Paya: "U-um Master Link i-it's me P-Paya"
Even though link was unresponsive and unmoving Paya felt pained seeing her hero in this state so she decided to try an nurse him back to health because he had done so much for her she owed him that much so to start she slowly took out an apple and cut it into tiny bite sized pieces to make it easy to chew and swallow and left it on a mat on the dresser so they wouldn't get dirty and also got a glass of water too she doubted he would eat any right away but still wanted to do it is a kind gesture. Paya ended up spending the entire day staying by Link's side and trying to get some sort of response out of him before leaving to go back to bed she turned and waved goodbye to the Fallen Hero and giving him a warm smile before going back to her house to get some rest
