"life is the art of dying."

– Atticus

"The art of dying is the art of living. The honesty and grace of the years of life that are ending is the real measure of how we die. It is not in the last weeks or days that we compose the message that will be remembered, but in all the decades that proceeded them. Who has lived in dignity, dies in dignity."

– Sherwin B. Nuland, "How We Die: Reflections of Life's Final Chapter"

A/N:

For the first quote - basically that how it is. The citation is especially true in some novels. In addition, it was a surprise to me that the quote belongs to Atticus, I was almost certain I had ran out of citations from him. Sorry for previously misleading you, I guess I should never say 'never'. Regarding the second quote - What do you think? Do you agree?
