Severus POV
Hadrian. My Hadrian. I can't believe it's MY Hadrian.  I thought he was dead.
"Uncle Sev? Are you alright? I know it's a lot to take in," Draco said to me, looking worried.
"Yes, Draco, I'm fine. No need to worry about me, worry about Hadrian instead, okay?" I replied after a moment.
I looked back at Hadrian after Draco nodded his head and watched my child. Hadrian looked around, eyes still puffy from crying, when his eyes fell on the gauze on his wrists. He tried to sit up to get a better view of the room.
"No, Hadrian. You have many injuries. Please don't try to get up on your own. You could make one of them worse," I said while trying to keep him on the cot.
"Okay. Can you help me get up? I really don't like laying here like this," Hadrian asked.
I helped him get into a sitting position, then asked him, "What happened to give you all of these cuts and bruises, besides the, uh, you know."
"Well, um, I, well, it started when I was 4, I was able to reach most of the stuff I needed with a step stool, so they made me do the stuff around the house, pretty much everything was my job. If I screwed something up, I got hit or kicked. When I turned 7, it got worse. He'd beat me, worse than just hitting me or kicking me, like full blown beating me. It was bad. I thought it couldn't get worse. It did. I was 10. He escalated it again. Daily beatings, bad. When we got the letter, he almost killed me. It, it was really bad. Bad beatings every day, all the way till the day before Hagrid picked me up. When I came back, he got right back to beating me. It happens,"
I interrupted, "Happened. It's not happening again, not if I have anything to say about it."
"Whatever. Either way, it's a summer tradition. Every summer, he'd beat me. It happened."
I looked over at Draco crying, then I realized I was crying. He talked so matter of factly about the abuse it was terrible.
"It's okay. It happened. That's all. It's okay. I'm alive. I'm not dead, good," he said, then muttered, "for you at least."
"Just, just please. Never do that again. Please." Draco begged.
"I'll try, but I'm not promising. Clear?" Hadrian responded.
     "You need help." Draco said.
     "No," Hadrian responded
"You. Need. Help. Help I don't know if I can give you," Draco stated.
"I. Said. No. I'm not having some stranger poke around in my head for something to have some rational reason as to why I'm fucked up! Okay?"
      "Fine."
3RD POV
After they finished their discussion, Madam Pomfrey ushered the two out as visiting hours were over. The two men were discussing trivial things, avoiding the Hungarian Horntail in the room. (AN: Haha I'm a maniac sorry had to) Suddenly, Albus Dumbledore walked into the hallway they were in.
"Ah, Severus! Draco! I have to admit, I'm surprised to see the two of you in this hallway, as it is farther away from the dungeons than you usually will traverse willingly."
"Albus. Yes, I was about to deliver some potions to the medical wing when Mister Malfoy passed by and I decided he could help me not have to make 3 trips, as I could make only one if he assisted. Now, we'd best be going, come along Draco," Severus said sharply.
They then began walking when Albus yelled, "Severus, I don't see any potions in your arms."
Draco stopped, panicking, when Severus motioned subtly with his hand to calm down, then he said, "Well I wouldn't carry them in my arms and risk a foolish student running into me and breaking them, would I? They are in my bag, which has protection charms. Would you like to see, as it is extremely obvious you are insinuating that I am lying?"
"I would appreciate it, thank you Severus," Albus said, his eyes glinting with a knowing smirk.
Severus reached into his bag and pulled out a pepper-up potion, "So, still don't believe me?"
"I apologize Severus, my mistake," Albus said, then walked off.
Draco and Severus walked off back to the dungeons, Draco still slightly nervous, and Severus seething with anger.
Authors Note
Hey all, sorry about the update... this one was a little hard to write. No idea why, just a minor case of writers block.  Have a good day!
