the one where monica gets two new roommates

"just to your left at the top of these stairs." he replies. 

"thanks." with a nervous smile, gianna takes a few more steps as paul walks away. the door to apartment 20 seemed large. she could hear voices inside. with a shaky hand, she reaches up and knocks lightly on the door.

monica pulls away from her kiss with paul, closing the door gently behind her. there was a giddy smile on her face as she turned to see joey. 

"that wasn't a real date?!" he exclaims. "what the hell do you do on a real date?" 

"shut up, and put my table back." monica replies, walking past. 

"okayyy!" chandler, rachel and joey smile, pulling the table with them. 

"all right kids, i gotta get to work. if i don't input those numbers..." chandler pauses "...it doesn't make much of a difference." the rest of the room smiles before a light knock is heard at the door. 

"oh maybe that's paul!" rachel exclaims, clasping her hands together. monica holds back a giggle as she approaches the door. after looking through the peep hole, she opens the door confused. 

"hi? can i help you?" monica asks and gianna's shaky hands stick together again. 

"hi. is joey here? i'm his sister." gianna replies and joey immediately stands. monica turns to face him confused, letting gianna take a small step inside. 

"gigi?" a smile spreads across gianna's lips as she looks at her shocked older brother. 

"hi joey." immediately she is engulfed in a hug, squashed by joey's arms. she was small in size compared to joey, almost completely invisible to the others in the room. 

"gigi! you're here!" joey exclaims. "what are you doing here?" he asks and gianna steps back, looking up at her brother. 

"uh, something's happened joey." she replies, her voice getting quiet. 

"what's wrong? is it dad? is it ma?" joey begins to panic as gianna shakes her head quickly. 

"ma and pa are fine." joey breathes a sigh of relief as he looks at gianna again. "do you mind if we do this alone? i don't know these people." gianna continues nervously and joey smiles. 

"sure, let me introduce you first." he turns and gestures towards monica. "this is monica. uh this is rachel and this is my best friend chandler." gianna smiles politely. 

"hi, nice to meet you. i'm gianna." her eyes go from person to person before stopping at chandler. from the moment she'd stepped in the door, chandler hadn't been able to tear his eyes away. "sorry for just barging in by the way. i spoke to this man downstairs, at the coffee shop, gunther, and he said you would be here and not your own place." she continues, looking up at joey. 

"yeah we like to hang out here, monica always has food." joey smiles and gianna laughs slightly, looking back over at monica. 

"how come we've never met you gianna? joey's lived here for a while." monica asks and gianna smiles. 

"i live in baltimore and don't really get a chance to get away." gianna explains, looking up at joey. "but uh, something has happened and i came to the person i trust the most." 

"aw your older brother joey." joey smiles, an arm over his sister's shoulder. gianna feels her eyes well with tears. 

"uh joe.." chandler begins, slightly gesturing to the teary eyed gianna.
