Well, let's see, why can't I stand it?
Why can't I stand how you are watching me?
Why can't I stand how you are looking into my eyes?
Why can't I stand how you are addressing compliments?

There is so much to what I can't admit.
But it's not because of you, it's because of me.
Because I think, all you see, are lies.
None are real accomplishments.

You tell me, there is no personality, which isn't split,
You say, there is nothing wrong with me.
But nevertheless, I'm the one, who cries.
And you? You picture me as perfectly.

And on the other hand, I'm nothing of what you appreciate.
I'm a sad person, not funny.
I won't make you laugh, I will tear you down.
There is no disclaimer, that's going to make you understand.
I'm not the one, you need.
I'm not the one, you want.

So when you watch me, you might discover the truth.
And when you look into my eyes, you might spot the pain.
And when you compliment me, how can't you recognize, how little there is, to compliment on?

How can you be that optimistic?
How can you only see the positive aspects?
How can you talk about the future as if it was certain?
How do you know, it won't be hurting?
Is there really anything, that us connects?
Maybe I just don't want to get hurt. Maybe I wanna be egoistic.

I'm not the person you see, when are you going to realize it?
It's only a matter of time, and, damn, that scares the hell out of me.
It's not your fault, but can you empathize?
You think, it's about you, but it's only about my fear.

'Cause one day, you'll find out, who I was, am and will be.
'Cause one day, you'll find out, that I'm not the person you see.
'Cause one day, you'll find out, you want something different, then I can give you.
And then, one day, you'll find out, nothing you said, even if you believed it was, was true.
