Fred,

We just found out, Dumbledore is dead. That is such a horrible way to start a letter but it's true. It also sums up our lives now.

Snape is now headmaster and the death-eaters have taken over our school. Why couldn't it have been McGonagall who took over?! I'm pretty scared, Freddie. I hope it'll be okay.

You've been very brave and strong, I guess you should be in Gryffindor, not Slytherin. I've been trying to stay strong too. I hope this ends soon.
