Chapter 24

Chaeyoung 

"Sorry about last night Tzu."

I said when I saw Tzuyu in the kitchen, cooking something for breakfast. 

"I'm sorry, too." 

She answered and gave me a smile. 

"You'll be late Chaeyoung, let's eat." 

She added and handed me the foods she cooked.

It's a lot of eggs. Toasted eggs? 

I chuckled. She still can't cook when it comes to frying.

"It's still food." 

Tzuyu said when she heard me chuckled. 

I gave her a smile and just started eating. I won't go to the University today anyway. 

"Are you going home?" 

I asked while eating. Tzuyu shook her head and said that she's busy doing her projects again. 

She's a graduating student that might be why. 

After breakfast, I texted Mina to ask where she is. 

She replied with. "Waiting for you, Chaebae." 

Ah, this is gay but yeah. I felt butterflies in my stomach.

I checked myself in the mirror once again and bid my goodbye to Tzuyu. 

When I arrived outside, Mina was waiting for me. 

"Hey there, Chaebae." 

She said and waved her hand to me.

Ah,this is too cute. Why does she need to sound like my girlfriend? 

It's making my heart beat fast. 

"Hi." 

I said. She walked closer and lifted her hand to touch my cheeks. She stretched it. 

"Smile, Chaebae." 

She said and chuckled. 

Swear, I was holding my breath. I'm still surprised every time she's touching me. 

"Let's go!" 

She said and encircled her arm around mine. 

Gosh. I hope she won't hear the beat of my heart. 

She'll be startled, really.

"Should we buy some couple shirts?" 

I started coughing when I heard Mina say that.

Couple?! Are we a couple?! 

"Hey, are you okay?" 

She caressed my back and handed me water. 

I started drinking it to calm myself. 

"Yes, I am." 

I answered and looked away. I nibbled on my lower lip. I can feel the heat on both of my ears. 

"Should we buy this?" 

Mina asked again and showed me the couple shirt with the statement that says "You only live once" 

I looked at her and just nodded.

We changed our clothes and continued to roam around the place.

There's a lot of things to see and buy. 

"Chaeyoung?" 

I quickly turned to Mina. I heard the sound of her phone taking a photo but I'm busy being amazed by Mina's beauty that I didn't notice I was staring at her. 

"I'm not the camera, Chaeyoung." 

She chuckled and looked at me. 

I gulped and looked away. She's just so beautiful that I can't help but to stare at her. 

"We looked so cute here." 

Mina said and showed me the photo she took. 

Ah.. I was staring at her in the photo while she's smiling at the camera.

She's just beautiful. Again. 

Mina and I just bought everything we wanted to eat. We also bought souvenirs. 

Our eyes are full with different lovely products we saw. 

Different faces of people who looked so happy and excited. 

I didn't even know it's already evening and she asked me to stay at the rooftop with her. 

"I still can't believe that it's been more than two weeks since we started dating." 

She bluntly said. I started coughing again. 

Gosh, she's too vocal. 

"This is a date, right?" 

She asked and stared at me. I can see her beautiful eyes looking at me. 

Before, I only wished for her to notice me. 

And now, she's finally looking at me. 

Staring right into my eyes. 

I should be happy knowing I am not invisible again. 

Knowing that Mina acknowledged the whole two weeks as our date. 

But I can't be completely happy. 

I caressed my chest and looked at her too. 

"Can I hug you?"

I asked. I never thought, I can ask her that without stuttering. 

She chuckled and nodded. 

I didn't waste any second, the next thing I know, I'm already hugging her. 

Does she feel the beat of my heart? 

Does she know how much I wanted to hug her everytime I wanted to? 

I wanted to ask her a lot of questions but I'm afraid of all the answers I will get. 

"Should we stay like this for a while?" 

I asked again. Where did the nervousness I was feeling a while ago went? 

I felt Mina nodded. I felt her hands caressing my back. 

For a moment, I feel like crying. 

She's really my safe place but I'm dangerous for her. 

Why can't we be each other's safe haven?
