Chapter 14

Chaeyoung

"You were absent two days straight here in the library. Something wrong?" 

Mina asked and lifted her hand so she could feel my forehead. 

"I'm fine. The Librarian gave me an off." 

I said while answering my assignments. I was only absent in the Library but I attended all of my classes. 

"I remember a glimpse of memory regarding that Librarian." 

She said. I stopped from what I'm doing and looked at her. 

Is she finally remembering some things now? 

"But I can't understand. It might be my hallucinations. She was trying to wake me up. I don't know. It might be the day of the accident. I just don't know what she's doing there." 

She paused. That caught my interest. 

"So I came here yesterday to ask but I got no answer from her."

She added and sighed. 

No matter where I look at it, I don't remember anything from that Librarian. Just her name, IM NAYEON. 

Mina uttered that name before. 

"Is she here today?" 

Mina asked. I shrugged. 

I haven't seen her walking inside her office and haven't seen her going out either. 

It went quiet and Mina's phone rang. She immediately answered it. 

A smile formed in my lips. She's using the Keychain I gave her on her birthday.

Damn Mina!

"You look cuter when smiling." 

Mina said when she went back. 

I can't help myself from smiling. 

Chaeyoung, you're so gay!

"Hey?" 

I heard Mina say again when I didn't answer. I am still smiling. 

Ah, this is crazy. 

Mina chuckled and bid me goodbye when it's already near her class time. 

I was smiling my whole shift. 

The Librarian even laughed at me and I forgot to ask her if she knows something about that accident. 

The regular students at the Library even looked at me weirdly. 

It might be a simple reason why I am smiling, but really. 

I appreciate small things.

I went home directly after my shift at the Library. Tzuyu was the only one at the condo. 

"Hey." 

She greeted me as soon as I entered. I smiled at her. 

"You're early." 

She added after checking the clock.

Yeah, it's still too early.

"I want to talk to you." 

I said. Tzuyu looked surprised but she managed to hide her reactions right away by giving me a smile.
