*few weeks later*
I love Daniel, I really do! But I think we should take a break. I mean we've had a lot of stuff go on in our past and I don't really know what to do. I'm not saying that we won't be friends anymore, because we will, I just think we should take a break. We might date in the future, we might not, who knows? I just need a break right now.
Daniel was sitting on the couch watching TV. I wanted to talk to him about how I felt about our relationship. "Hey." I said forcing a smile on my face. "Hey (y/n)! You ok?" He asked. "Yeah, yeah I'm ok." I looked down for a second and said, "Daniel, I want to talk to you about something." Daniel looked at me a little confused. "Sure!" I sat down, grabbed his hands and said, "Daniel, you know I love you right?" "Yeah, I love you too!" He said with a smile, I smiled back, then continued. "I think we need to take a break..." His smile turned into a frown. "What? What do you mean 'break'?" I sighed and I could feel my eyes start to water, but I held back the tears. "I think we should take a break from dating." "Did I do something wrong?" He asked with a sad look on his face. "No, no, you didn't so anything wrong. I just think we should stick as friends for now." Daniel looked at the floor and sighed. "Ok" was all he said. I rubbed his back, then hugged him. He hugged back and I felt a tear drop from my face. "I'm sorry" I whispered. "It's ok, I understand." We let go and smiled at each other. I could tell Daniel was really upset. I put my hand on his shoulder and said, "That doesn't mean we won't date again in the future." He smiled, which made me smile. "I hope things don't get awkward between us, you know, because we live in the same apartment and share a room." I said. Daniel laughed and said, "Don't worry, it won't." "I still love you, I always will." I said. "I love you too (y/n). Always have, always will."
