Sebastian drove us both home, it felt like home now. We spoke little since we've been alone, after he made a detour to Ajah to drop the Mohammed's.

I snuck glances at him but he didn't notice, his profile was well defined from where I was watching. He was such a beautifully made man. I couldn't take my eyes off of him for the next two minutes. God really took His time with him.

"Want me to stop driving so you can look to your fill?" He offered jokingly. I looked away in embarrassment. I didn't bother to think of a lie because I knew he would catch me and rub it in my face more. He was cocky, in fact very cocky.

He continued driving and I looked out the window. We stayed in comfortable silence after that. When we arrived home, I disappeared into my room almost immediately and didn't come out. Sebastian knocked on my door. When I didn't open, he did.

"Hi." He greeted and seated himself on the couch.

  "Hi." I said back.

"Why are you avoiding me?" He questioned.

"I'm not." I told him, not looking at him. I avoided his penetrating gaze.

"You're." He sounded pained. "What happened to you wasn't your fault. I don't know what it is but I'm sure.."

I cut him off. "You don't know what it is." He stood up and moved closer to me. I stepped back from him but he snaked his arm around my waist and pulled me to him. I gasped at the sudden contact. My palms flattened on his chest, heat rising within me.

"Allison, trust me okay? I don't think you trust me enough to let me in but please do." He looked into my eyes all the while and I couldn't look away either. I searched his eyes but all I saw was hope. He was hoping I'd trust him, he really wanted me to trust me. I pulled my bottom lip and chewed on it softly. He lifted his free hand and freed my lip. "Don't do that," his voice turned husky, "unless you want me to kiss you silly." I swallowed hard and slightly trembled. "Do you trust me?"

  I nodded.

"Say it. I want to hear it from you." He begged.

"Yes, yes I do." And he hugged me close. I linked my arms around his neck and nuzzled his neck breathing his heady scent. "Sebastian, please don't go." I blurted out to my own surprise. I fought back tears but failed as two fat drops fell on his shoulder. He hugged me tighter if that's even possible. "Every night I've had to worry about them coming back, I'm so scared my worst nightmare would come true one day."

"Allison, I'm right here." He whispered in my ear. "I'm not leaving OK?" I couldn't bring myself to believe that fully because it was only for the mean time, he would eventually have to go back to the States. That made me more scared than I already was. I pulled back and he wiped my tears away tenderly. He kissed my forehead and my eyes fluttered shut. My stomach rumbled and he chuckled.

I wanted to ask him how long until he has to go back to America but he was already speaking.

"I'll order pizza and we will see a movie. Is that fine?" I nodded. I wondered if he was full Nigerian he would love fast food as much as he does now. But I knew Africans don't joke with their stomachs so it's probably no. I hope it doesn't take long. For someone who hasn't been in Nigeria for long he seemed to know a lot. I watched him make the call. He looked at me from time to time to ask me if I was okay with what he ordered.

"Now we wait." I rocked on my heels and watched him with keen interest.

"Sebastian." I began, "I don't really sleep well." He nodded. "I.. I try not to make any noise either.. I." I stuttered with my words.
