Spring break started and Kye and I were on a plane to Eygpt. I was nervous and exicted at the same time. I was nervous, because it could not work. The stone could just be myth. I was exicted because I got spend this week with Kye and see how much my old home, or one of them, changed. I doubt I was in any of the history books.

On the plane ride, I was working on my Arabic. I was rusty and I'm sure it is different now then it was back when I was last in Eygpt. Oh well. Good thing we got a transalte book so I was working on that. Hopefully all goes well lanuage wise. I rather not look like an idiot.

I looked over at Kye, he was reading that one book by that one guy who writes about demigods. Kye was reading the Eygpt ones. He seemed pretty into them. I just sat on the plane quietly as the plane took off. We were in the middles section of seats and Kye was in the middle. I sighed and looked around. There were a few people, mainly people in suits, on this plane. I looked away from them. I didn't want to upset anyone. I looked back at Kye, still reading.

This was along flight, lots of people but before I knew it, we were in Egypt. I stood up and Kye and I got off the plane. We got a taxi and went to the hotel. I got out and looked at the building. It was small and looked very old. I walked in with Kye. I asked for our key then we went upstairs to our room. We only needed a room for him because I'd just go to my cloud. It was easier that way. And cheaper.
So we rested for the night and the next day we started our journey. I waited for Kye in the lobby in a white Egyption tunic and sandles. I thought I looked nice but I got weird looks from people. Kye came down in shorts and a t-shirt with a hat that the brim spreaded all the way around. He looked at me for a bit. I looked down at his runners then at myself.
Oh right. I sheepishly grinned and we left the hotel. We started walking to the edge of town, but first we found the library. We did more research on the stone and I saw a boy watching us. Probably because of the way I was dressed.
He had brown hair and wore glasses. He was dressed very smart like. But he had a 'who are these people?' look. I don't like that look. I kept my back to him and focused on the book Kye was looking at. I looked at the nerd boy again and focused.
His name was Orlan and he was very into history. He was from America clearly and he had a very bright future. Very smart boy.
I looked away then I heard him get up. I didn't look but then he sat across from us. We looked at him, and he looked at us. Orlan spoke first, "Who are you people?"
"I'm Kye and this is Tomai,"
I waved. But he kept on glaring at us, "Why are you studing this stone?" He asked.
"School project?" I guessed.
He shook his head, "People don't wear real tunics for school. That should be in a musuem."
"It's family's?" I guessed again.
He scoffed, "A tunic passed down? Yeah right. Now who are you people and why do you want that stone?"
I looked at Kye, "We're on a mission," He said, "But we don't know anything about this stone. Like, where is for an example."
"I could help you," Orlan said, "But I probably won't."
"Why?" Kye asked.
"Because I want that stone,"
