Hardin POV

I know Auden is scared, so was I, but he can't always sleep in our bed. It's Tessa, she just can't say no to him

"Hardin stop screaming"

"I'm not fucking screaming tessa" I say really mad

"Bad word daddy" Auden tells me

I look at tessa and she roles her eyes annoyed

I take a big breath "I'm sorry bud..... you know I love you so much right?" He nods

"Well" i sit next to him "I know it's scary to wake up every night like that, but don't ever forget, we are here to protect you"

"You are the luckiest little man to sleep in the same room as emery, she's always going to be there for you" he stares at me with his intense blue eyes

"But this room" I say pointing to our room "is mommy's and daddy's, and kids your age don't sleep in their parents room every night"

"You can sleep with us sometimes but not every night" I mess his hair "got it?"

He nods, but looks at me confused, he opens his mouth to speak but then close it again, after 1 minute he decides to speak

"Who is the man?" He asks me, I look at tessa confused

"What man bud?" Tessa ask him

"The one in my dreams" I sight and Tessa looks down "the one that was hurting you daddy" he looks at me

I squeeze Tessa's hand "he is a bad man....you know not everyone in this world is good, there are some people with...problems"

Fuck what am I even saying? How do I explain he's Tessa's dad... his own grandfather

I look at tessa and see a tear roll down her cheek "there are so many kind of people bud, and you have to learn how to live with them.... sometimes they won't be the nicest but they're still humans"

I don't think he really understood that much cause his 3 but, what was I supposed to tell him?

I wouldn't consider that dick my kids grandfather, he doesn't deserve being my kids grandfather

"Why does he hurt you? Is he mad at you?" He just loves to ask everything, just like tess, but i still love them both

What am I supposed to tell him, I look at tessa asking for help but now she's fully crying silently

"It's way past your bed time bud, why don't we keep talking tomorrow?"

He nods and lay his head on Tessa's chest "mommy why are you crying?"

She takes a big breath and wipes her tears away "I'm just tired" he plays with his hair "don't worry"

I hold her hand and kiss both of their heads "ok you can sleep with us tonight but promise us, you will sleep in your room tomorrow"

"I pomise" and that's another word he doesn't know how to pronounce, he's so cute

He rubs his eyes tired, Tessa lays him down and rubs his cheek "goodnight bud, remember we are right next to you"

He closes his eyes and falls asleep by Tessa's touch. I sit next to tessa and wrap my arms around her "I love you" I whisper in her ear

"What are we going to tell him?" She asks me

"He will probably forget by tomorrow morning.... don't worry" I feel her hot breath on my chest

"But what if he doesn't?"

"We will see, we should go to sleep too, we had a long flight" I kiss her head

We get ready for bed and go to sleep, I wake up by Auden crying on Tessa's chest

"Is he ok?" I ask her, and she nods rubbing his back

"I'm going to get him a glass of water" I get up and walk to the kitchen, I fill up a glass of water and walk back to our room

"Shhh it's ok, I'm right here" tessa tries to calm him down

"Here" I hand her the glass

He drinks it and Auden calms down "I'm going to check on emery"

I walk to her room and see her awake hugging her teddy bear

"Em why are you awake?" It's literally 4 in the morning and she's not sleeping. I sit on her bed and play with her hair

"I dunno" god she's just so cute

"I love you baby.....can you stop growing up?"

"I'm a big girl daddy" she crosses her arms

"But you will always be my little girl" I lay next to her, she stares at me and starts touching my face

"What are you doing?" I ask laughing

She looks at my arms "what are these" she points to my tattoos

"Tattoos" she keeps staring

"I don't like them" she tells me "does mommy like them?"

"Yes... she really does"

"Then I like them" she giggles and puts her head on my chest, I wrap my arms around her

"I love you daddy" she whispers

"I love you more princess" god i love this little girl more than anything
