Tessa POV

After a while of dancing and singing Auden starts stripping

I instantly get up and stop him "okayyy that's enough, what are you doing?!"

"I'm practicing mom" I choke on air, I swear if I would've had water in my mouth I would spit it out

"Practicing?" I try not to sound shocked

"Yup for the future" he looks at me with a big smile on his face

"That's my boy!!!!" Hardin shouts, I quickly turn around and give him a death stare

"Auden, you are not supposed to do that" I turn around and look at him seriously "those kids that you are hanging out with are not good influence, they are two or three years older than you and-" he cuts me off

"I don't care what you think, they are my friends, this is my life and it's already annoying when you don't let me go skate with them. They are not bad influence, they teach me how to skate and about girls-life....I meant life" he quickly changes the word

"I don't really like them neither, and I hate that you hang out with fourth graders when we are in first grade" Emery says, he rolls his eyes and walks away

"Oh god what are we going to do when he turns 13" I sight and sit back on the couch

"Boys are difficult, but so are girls" ken says

Emery sits on my lap and starts playing with everly "Do you think Santa is getting ev something too?" She asks Hardin, but he doesn't reply

"Hardin" I shake him, he gets up hands me everly

"I'm going to talk to him" he starts walking away

"Ok, and don't take too long, dinner is almost ready" Karen tells him

Everly starts fussing looking at hardin, but he's already gone. I hope everything goes well, they both a have a strong character and.....

I kiss everly's head "daddy's going to be right back"

Hardin POV

I walk to Auden's room and knock the door "mom please don't" Auden says annoyed

I walk in "oh hey dad" he says laying on his bed "if you are going to tell me I'm wrong and I shouldn't have said that to mom....I'm sorry, now you can go"

"I'm not going anywhere" I close the door and sit on emery's bed next to his "this beds are really comfy"

He nods and looks at me with a confused face "what are you doing? Did mom send you here?"

"No..... look Auden I totally understand you, and I have no problem with your friends, I love that you have a lot of friends from all ages, I love seeing you happy, and I love that they teach you about older stuff because I know you can take it... you have gone through so much that you can handle way more. I love that you are interested on knowing about life and girls... and if they make you happy it's ok. But..."

He just looks at me

"You have to treat your mom with respect, you have to understand she just wants the best for you, and she doesn't want you to grow up, you have no right to talk to her like that, she loves you more than anything and you talking her like that breaks her heart"

He looks down and I let him think a little, till he looks back up and starts talking "I know that and I'm sorry, it's just that I say things without meaning them, I hate it, and I can't control it, they just come out....... and it's also kind of annoying that she doesn't let me go out to the park when it's literally across the street, it's not like I'm going to drink or smoke, she literally can watch me from the kitchen window, I just skate and have fun with the dudes"

I laugh "the dudes?" He nods "I understand you, but she's scared, there are bad people out there, and you are just seven Auden, it's not like you are a teenager, you don't have a phone, and it's dangerous"

"That's why I asked for a phone for Christmas, and I can just kick his ass, and for your information I might be seven but mentally and physically I feel 12 or even 13"

I chuckle and lay back on the bed "first, your mom didn't let me get a phone for you, and she's right, you are just 7, social media is really toxic and you can't just have a phone-" he cuts me off

"Are you serious?! Just because she says so I can't have a phone, I wouldn't use it for whatever you are thinking of, it's just to communicate with you guys, what if-" he stays quiet and thinks of a reason "get lost?!" As soon as he says that he starts laughing

"Okay sorry I'm overeating, but can you please convince mom?! I will do my homework if you convince her"

I look at him and start laughing "what kind of trade is that? I convince mom if you don't tell her about the chair I broke at home"

"Deal" he gives me a big smile and we do a handshake

"Okay and promise to treat her with respect"

"I promise" he says grabbing my phone and running away.... damn if I should've known

I chase him till I finally get him "where do you think you are going mr" I throw him to my shoulder and walk to the living room

"Daddddd" he says laughing "put me downnnn"

"Why should I" I starts tickling him, he's the most ticklish child alive, it's his debility

"Because I'm going to tell mom about the chai-" I instantly cut him off

"Is DiNeR ReADy?!" I kind of yell and Tessa looks at me with a wired look

I put Auden down and mouth him 'you are dead' he just looks at me with a big smirk
